Amanda | 71 comments I have a long standing love of the Tommyknockers/dreamcatcher but find it hard to find any more good horror books about aliens. Please can anyone recommend some?

Shaun Horton | 324 comments At the risk of a little self-promotion, I can suggest my book

Class 5 by Shaun Horton .

Whether it compares to Tommyknockers or Dreamcatcher I couldn't say, but yes, good alien-based horror is pretty hard to find.

Amanda | 71 comments Will try this, but anymore recommendations will be greatly appreciated!

Dave Pope | 53 comments Communion: A True Story
There are a few about aliens by the same author - Majestic also comes to mind.
Majestic

Shaun Horton | 324 comments Stephen King's The Mist by Stephen King could technically be Alien horror.

Also, there's Alien by Alan Dean Foster

Amanda | 71 comments The mist is an awesome story, one of my favourites!

Dave Pope | 53 comments Invasion of the Body Snatchers
That's a classic.
The Invasion
That could perhaps qualify as well.

I have quite a few on my tbr

The Burning Dark has been getting some love recently

The Icarus Void

Blindsight

message 16: by Amanda (new)

Amanda | 71 comments Blindsight sounds very interesting!

message 17: by Shaun (new)

Shaun Horton | 324 comments Huh. Some good looking books in there. Someone asked this question a while ago and the best we could do was a few books on abduction evidence like Communion A True Story by Whitley Strieber

message 18: by Amanda (new)

Amanda | 71 comments Yes, this is great. Thank you all, plenty to keep me busy!

message 19: by Amanda (new)

Amanda M. Lyons (amandamlyons) Aliens and it scared the heck out of me at a time I thought I was numb to most horror. The Forbidden Zone

Mehmet | 1241 comments Some of Brian Lumley novels involve Aliens. Cannot remember of the top of my head but with a little research sure could find out :-)

message 21: by Tressa (new)

Tressa (moanalisa) | 19903 comments Crawlers is great.

The Deluge

The Disappeared - Haven't read this one, but it's on my Alien TBR list, as is Ship of Fools.

There's a book by a prolific horror writer I really enjoyed, but the mystery of the story is that "I'm not saying it was aliens, but it was aliens!" so I'd feel bad about posting the title.

Sam (samwitt) | 11 comments As mentioned before, all of the Lumley Necroscope books contain copious amounts of aliens.

You might also like Yesterday's Gone Season One by Sean Platt Yesterday's Gone Season Two by Sean Platt Yesterday's Gone Season Three by Sean Platt Yesterday's Gone Season Four by Sean Platt

For those, poke around on Amazon because they tend to bundle various seasons together for better prices.

Amanda | 71 comments You know, I've read yesterday's gone up to episode 12 and have the box set for 13 to 18 in my kindle, I think I'd completely forgotten about it!
