--Requesting honest reviews (will swap) for Under Orion's Belt: Romance/Erotic 10,000 words.--That's you- openly soliciting for a 'review swap'. Which is not only considered fraudulent and can get you banned from Amazon, your name will be mud as soon as reading public finds out you're doing it. No one likes being lied to, which is what review swapping is.

You can interpret it however you wish. However, there is nothing wrong with offering my book for free to someone for an honest review. I consider it feedback whether it is one star or five. I too would offer a honest review...Amazon sues and shuts down authors for purchasing reviews in bulk or otherwise. Which is not what I am doing nor am i willing to do. Simply looking for feedback on goodreads. Lump me in wherever you wish...
If you want to offer your book up free for review, then that's all you have to do. Review Swapping is trading reviews- tit for tat. It's not semantics- they're two wholly different things. And the obvious inference is that they'll be postive ones, otherwise why bother. Play dumb all you like; you'll be arguing with Amazon/Goodreads and all the readers who discover you've done it, not me. And good luck with that.Why don't you try a google search about review swapping and see what you find.
I clearly didn't word my ask appropriately. I thank you for forwarding all of this and for your brutal honesty.I got my back up at first because I didn't fully understand what you were getting at. In all honesty, I didn't even know that people were swapping (5 for 5),paying for reviews in bulk, or otherwise until you forwarded the link. I really just wanted an HONEST review, but I absolutely see your point. I spent a few hours doing searches last night and I was appalled and disheartened by what I found. Being an indie author is tough enough and I certainly wouldn't intentionally do anything illegal to get a single review. I saw similar posts to mine (not thinking anything of it because there were so many)and that was how I worded mine...ignorance is no excuse, but I am learning. Anyway, I have pulled all my asks or edited them to say free book for review as you suggested. I want to write and have people read my work, and yes, I will only ever offer it for free to read for review--I will never use the word 'swap' again.
As I said before, I welcome all input, good or bad, and I thank you for bringing this to my attention. Brutal honesty is important, and I thank you for it and I hope you keep educating people about this. I will.
I thought about deleting this post, but I think it is important for people to see, especially for those that are new to indie writing.

Hi John,I read your earlier post and can understand you why you may think that way. Not all review swappers do that. The review swap I've done with 'Third Eye P.I' is really good so far and I really mean that. I'd hate for anyone to think I have an untrue review.
