Sleep well!

Got it! Logging it in now! Thank you. Stand by for new goal!

- Read a book where a character's first name starts with the letter Q
- Read a historical fiction novel that is based on real events
- Read a book with the word aggregate in the text
- Read a book where the world ends
- Read a book that is in the "Best Arabic Books" Listopia List (https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/3...)

That's a v good accident!
I've finished 2 books in the last 24 hours - Without A Trace and The Body Farm
They don't meet any current goals, but I'll add them to the books read page with some details. I'll probably slow down a bit with my reading now for a week or so until the flight home again!

Since I was here long time, I've started audiobook (only one I had at the moment) and when I was done, and started filling in info, discovered date published
Having said they don't fit the goals... Without a Trace has a man called Quinn who is marrying one of the main characters sisters - they attend the wedding and it's the way he reconnects with his family. Is that enough of a character to count?

It should be character that has some role in the story, not just passing by.
And it was long time when I read it so I can't remember
He's in the last chapter, but mentioned before that. He and Trace have a conversation at the end (view spoiler)
Think it could be argued either way

- Read a book where a character has lost one of their senses
- Read a book where there is a computer virus or computer hacking
- Read a book with the word aggregate in the text
- Read a book where the world ends
- Read a book shelved (listed on the first page on GR) as lendable - plurals and spelling acceptable - Eni
I'm going to read The Virgin's Lover which will work for a historical fiction novel based on real events
Hope everyone had a good weekend and the start of the week has been ok!

*none of currently finished unused books is working :(*
this list might help, but you still need to check if book fits that 'first page' part
- open book page and go to genres on the right. If it's on that page, then it works.

ok I've put you down, but if anyone finishes something sooner, we'll go with that one (unless it has something exotic which is better to save for another goal ☺)

yup that's fine =)

After searching 300+ books on reader (and that means open each one since search function doesn't work outside of the book) and 5 aggregators and 2 aggregations (none of which works, I checked) I finally found book with aggregate *happy dance*
Since this is thriller and I plan to read next BOM starting tomorrow (for me) which is also thriller, I'll probably wait with aggregate so I don't mix them up. If any of you find it in meantime, I'll just make a note about it and leave it for later in case we get aggregated again :)
Yay! Well done for finding it!
Surprised how many problems one little word can cause! Get the feeling that searching for books to fit the goals can sometimes get in the way of actually reading the books! Hoping it gets easier to complete them as we have a backlog of read books!

At least with ebooks it's easy to do those searches.
I don't really plan to base my reading on goals like it was with gladiators, but this book is on-read-at-one-point list, so no problem :)
Just finished
. Doesn't fit any categories though :/
About halfway through
.
Sorry guys, I'm gonna be the slow reader of the group lol

Went ahead and used mine. Nothing exotic in it at all.
Do I just add my book to the "Read" thread? Or do I need to do something to spreadsheet?

Just put it in the read thread, Taryn and we will take care of the rest. Thanks!!

Fantastic! I will add that now.
I've just spotted next months BOM over in Poseidon's group. So long as I can get them relativly cheaply (no library currently because I keep moving) I might ended up reading them all! Haven't read any BOM for about a year so will be a v different month.
Think it was American Gods, Everything I Never Told You, The Paper Swan and Uprooted
Think it was American Gods, Everything I Never Told You, The Paper Swan and Uprooted

There is also 'rule' about tagging American Gods. I'm on tablet so can't link it and be sure about page numbers/editions, but it comes to:
- if you are reading author's prefred or anniversary edition, you get 80 pts
- all others get 60 pts
If you want to shelf edition you are actually reading and it doesn't fall in those pts, let captains know to do override

What's the author's preferred edition mean?

My understanding is that we only need one book per goal, but that we could end up getting some of the same goals again later in the challenge. Most books fit for more than one goal anyway, so anything read is good!

Every book read can be used for goal, that's why we ask you to give us as much info as you can think of. That way it can be used for different goal then one it might have been read for.
If you want to do specific goal let us know and we'll 'reserve'it for you. Those names added next goals only mean that person has book that could fit. That's mostly in case some of us need idea for our next read.
