No necromancers listed on our goalless books page - anyone have one?"
Yes, I have one and its one I was going to be reading soon.

Anything you read will almost certainly be used eventually for a goal - so read whatever you want to read. You never know when two guys named Tom might show up. :D

That's an annoying goal. Anyone read something like that recently?

-- Read a book with a yellow, orange or golden dress on the cover.
DANIELLE -- Read a book that has a number in the title with a series number one higher than that number.
ALLISON -- Read a book that is on your "to read" shelf with the lowest GR star rating.
DANIELLE -- Read a book where a character is a necromancer.
-- Read a book where someone desires world domination
25 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS
DAY 4 -- Read a book with the word Santa in the text for 10 points! -- SARAH-JANE
DAY 5 -- Read a book with a green cover for 10 points! -- LALINE
DAY 6 -- Read a book with a turkey or pig on the cover for 10 points! -- DONNA

Used

NEW GOAL: Read a book where the edition you are reading was published on the 23th of a month

Used Donna's Cursed
Used Chimes at Midnight
Used Innocent Ride
NEW GOAL: Read a book with a cityscape on the cover
NEW GOAL: Read a book with a famous landmark on the cover
I've not time now to look at unused books and see if we have anything for these two goals.

That's a shame. I was just going to look as I'm back online now, but saw you had checked.

25 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS
☃ Day 6 - Read a book with a turkey or pig on the cover for 10 points! (DONNA)
☃ Day 7 - Read a book with the word cornucopia in the text for 10 points (ALLISON)

I'm glad someone found it, I want having much luck. And yes plenty of time, Christmas goals be done through to 15 January.

I am reading American Gods, which is the BOM. And there's mention of world domination :)
And my edition also has a red cover so we'll see for the goals when I'm finished, which won't happen this week I'm afraid... we'll see if it gets better...

I'm almost finished with the orange dress book, but it might have to wait until tomorrow evening because I can't keep my eyes open and I have lots of meetings tomorrow at work.

25 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS
☃ Day 8 - Read a book with the word kids or children in the title for 10 points!

How the heck are we supposed to judge that. Anyone have any ideas?

Do you really think that is the Sphinx on the cover? When I looked closely at it it seemed such a cartoonish drawing that I figured it was just a random pharaoh statue.
What does everyone think?

Glad you had one. I pretty much just posted goal and got offline, had a bad headache and wasn't feeling too good. I've not done anything today and while not 100% I am feeling better now.

I wouldn't count it on that cover. I don't think you can tell wether it's the Sphinx and not just a random pharaoh statue. I could be wrong but I still wouldn't use it for this goal.
