Just a quick pop in. No reading done today, had a day full of playing board games.
My 25th book is one that I have to read in order, so I definitely won't be doing that one. :) Today I finished one for December 23rd- I'm assuming someone dying on Christmas Eve is considered an important event. I also read the north-america shelf book. And I was super busy at work, so I consider this a successful day.Used Sarah-Jane's

That's a dumb goal. I don't have anything that works right now. I can think of a re-read that might work off-hand, but I'd have to find the book in my many many shelves. :)

My book that is in goalless-
can work for the "last one" goal. One of the characters, Ziri, is the owner of the last natural Kirin body piece in existence. He had saved a horn from his natural body, and when he needed to be resurrected, this piece from his natural body was used to create him a very similiar body to his natural body. The only one in existence.

Hello, sorry I haven't been a very helpful participant these days; still reading American Gods that gave me the biggest reading slump of my life, I am so not into it, but I'll finish it today or tomorrow, finally!
I just started 12th of Never which starts out with Lindsay giving birth to her baby girl. It would fit the open goal, unless someone gets to one quicker.

Sorry I wasn't around to check that book for you Danielle, I had some errands to run. If we don't already have a book from the mystery list, I'm sure I have one handy.
It's ok Allison. I didn't check all the books, just a few I thought might be on there, but didn't see one that we had that would work.
I checked the whole Historical Mystery list and we don't have anything in goalless (I was hoping one of LaLine's books would show up, but no luck). I have an Amelia Peabody paperback on my bedside table and it can be my new read-in-bed book. I forget the title right now, but it is on the first page of the list.
Is anyone interested in reading a non-fiction book? I usually am always in the midst of one non-fiction book but I haven't been reading any during this challenge. We may want to boon it if no one wants to pick one up.
Non-fiction is not my thing so definitely don't have one. When the goal come out it would be the one I'd boon. But maybe someone like reading and has one, if not then I'll boon it.

I do enjoy non-fiction, but it takes me a long time to finish a non-fiction book.....
We have a boon to use by end of week so I say we should just boon that one away.
I did notice that
is on the non-fiction list. It's a pretty easy read if anyone is interested. I don't read books about animals because they ALWAYS make me cry, but my mum really liked it and she's not a fan of non-fiction at all. Otherwise, I am all for booning.
I have a couple non-fiction books I would like to read, but I won't be able to get to them until next week at the earliest. I say boon the non-fiction goal. If it comes up again, I'll read one of my books.On another note, I put a hold on the ebook version of Six of Crows at the library before we even started the challenge and I FINALLY got it today. Too late to use it for BOM. I also put The Nightingale and A Darker Shade of Magic on hold and I should be getting them soon. I've never done a BOM before. Do I just go to the discussion thread and talk about the book? Does it matter if I read the book before the discussion begins? I always try to return my books as quickly as possible when there are holds on them.
