And we can used other books too ? Even if they have already been used for goals ?

A book from goalless or read this month can only be used once for either a goal or on the spell out. Not both.

The puzzles are fun , but it sucks that we don't have any more high point books from December, so we won't be getting many points for doing this.

Yeah, we don't have any big high points. I think we have one 80 point book and the other 5 will be 60 point books.

Lots of vowels in this round too. Perhaps we should let our goalless books build up a bit.

How long do we have to choose the books we want to use ?

Still three weeks left in January so plenty of time to wait and build up books. There is no need to worry about U's. I have about 3 coming up to read.

We have the mega boon to use too.

My random book is over 700 pages, maybe they will let us use January books in this newest mini-challenge?

I have . It's been sitting on my kindle for a while. I can read this book next and get it off there.

As for O's & I's, I have & (2 more I's if we need them later) that I can read in the next couple days. I don't see any "x" books on my kindle.

I have an X book I can read and I think we should boon our 5 books now and keep the random book I'm reading on reserve - we seem to always get a goal 3 times. :)

I was excited upon reading a mega boon would be used and new quests/goals were coming. But darn the book I just finished doesn't fit.

I read way outside my comfort zone. I don't care for Historical nor do I care for war type stories. I just finished It is an interesting story, though I found it boring at times. I did read it pretty fast for me as I just wanted to get it done with so I could move on to something else! LOL

I've used up all but one goalless book into the spell it out puzzle.

Two words are done and we need 12 10 letters to complete the other four words. Here's the letters we need (with who said they have to book to fit)

I just started Neuromancer by William Gibson - that would cover G.
A character in my current audio book (that I should finish tomorrow) is named Octavia - A Dangerous Mourning. That will cover one O.
I will be reading Streams to the River, River to the Sea by Scott O'Dell - another O.
And after that I will be reading It Was On Fire When I Lay Down On It - covers one I.

It will take me a few days to get them done, but that is what I can currently contribute to the puzzle.

If needed I can have a "G" by reading Le gardien invisible.

Go for it Sarah-jane. Neuromancer is kind of boring. It might take me a while to get through it.

Finished Streams to the River, River to the Sea.

I have barely ever marked a book DNF but the "Y" book I was going to read was barely readable. I can understand if a couple of errors are in a book because you can easily miss a mistake or two. However, couldn't possibly have been proofread. I made it to 24% and found so many errors I had to DNF it. Defiantly and differently are two very different words and the sentence made no sense, whatsoever. I found mistakes like this at least a dozen times and decided to give up. So I found a new Y book . *sigh* I should have been a book editor ; )

Sounds really bad Donna. I don't DNF all that often, but sometimes you just have too.

Finished two books that work for O today, updated the mini-challenge. Didn't feel like reading on a screen so I'll get my X book done tomorrow. On my way out for dinner, I'll check in later.

I'll be done the X book tonight when I get home. We may want to save Donna's I book and use the one I just finished instead. Her's is an actual book with characters and plots and mine is an advertisement for Weight Watchers thinly disguised as a music autobiography. With no G characters. :)

I'd already put Donna's book for the I as soon as she said she finished it. I'm sure your book will work for some goal at some point.

The book I have started reading starts with an L, but I have no idea when I will have finished it. Exams finish on Wednesday ! Woop woop !

You're not the only one. I finished it today, but it has taken me over a week to read. I kept putting it down to read other books.
