Sorry about that. It should be there now.

Donna (dkflynn33) | 2715 comments Don't know if I have anything to fit these goals but I will try to look later today. Not feeling too well and neither is my daughter so not sure if I will get much reading in.

Allison Ann | 1408 comments Get well soon Donna. I have a book with radishes, but I have another book to finish first.

✿~Danielle~✿ (dmh1) | 5684 comments According to spreadsheet it looks that the leading team could hit the 25,000 points mark tomorrow.

Allison Ann | 1408 comments The end is nigh! :D You guys have been reading machines these last couple of days! Sorry I've been falling behind, I'm really ready for a reading break.

Thanks, Ladies.

Allison Ann | 1408 comments Radish book done.

NEW GOAL -- Read a book that was originally published between 2000 and 2005.
Used LaLine's A Just Determination (JAG in Space, #1) by John G. Hemry

NEW GOAL -- Read a book shelved (listed on the first page of the "top shelves" of the book) as for-review - plurals and minor spelling variations are acceptable.
Used Donna's The Owens Legacy Revelations by Michelle Flick

NEW GOAL -- Read a book that has a predominately yellow and black cover.

Allison Ann | 1408 comments See you all tonight - hope we're still playing then. :)

message 1261: by Kari (new)

Kari (mazuka) | 427 comments the book I am reading hasn't grabbed my attention so it is slow reading. I will miss checking the team raven threads. thanks for having me in the group

message 1262: by LaLine (new)

LaLine | 411 comments This really has been a lot of fun. I used to think I was a big reader -ha! I've really pushed myself since starting this challenge and I've read way more than usual. I've also read some books I wouldn't have normally picked up, and that is a good thing. Hope to see you all around some more!

message 1263: by Allison Ann (new)

Allison Ann | 1408 comments I was really hoping to get one more goal in but I checked every page of "priority" and "overdrive"and couldn't find a single book that worked that I could get. I have no prison books left and my pages adding to 19 book turned out to be a really weird unmarked Christian romance thing that I couldn't stomach. And my one yellow and black cover on my TBR turned out to have a different cover IRL. So I am out of options. :D

LaLine, hope you are recovering well. You read a ton of books. These challenges always show that there is someone out there who reads more than you. Helps me feel a little less crazy. ;)

Kari, sorry you aren't enjoying your book. I slogged through a lot of blah books for the points, so I feel your pain. Maybe it will pick up?

We were solid top third in points and 7th most improved team, and considering we started and stayed down one player, a pretty good round for us. Bravo Ravens.

I'm going to go read something just because, or maybe I'll just go to sleep.

Donna (dkflynn33) | 2715 comments I have really enjoyed this group. I was able to read some authors that are new to me and even read outside my usual. I learned that even though I watch horror movies a lot with my husband, I just don't enjoy reading them-lol. I managed to get to some of the series I wanted to read more of but kept pushing aside for books that meet other challenges. I also learned that Allison and Danielle can read circles around me- LOL! My husband found that hard to believe since he knows how much I read. Thanks for making this challenge fun, ladies. I am sure I will see you around Goodreads at some point as I have become a challenge-a-holic in the past couple months. Happy Reading all!

✿~Danielle~✿ (dmh1) | 5684 comments Finished a book with pages adding to 19

Read a book where the title starts with the letter R
used Donna's — Razor Sharp

NEW GOAL: Read a book with a wind instrument on the cover or in the title

message 1267: by ✿~Danielle~✿ (new)

✿~Danielle~✿ (dmh1) | 5684 comments I haven't had much luck with these goals either. Although I did find and finished one for the pages add to 19 goal.

Yes, I think we have done a pretty good job.

message 1270: by Kari (new)

Kari (mazuka) | 427 comments I did n't realize we had been done a player. This group did amazing.

Okay, I'm reading A Court of Thorns and Roses. People seem to LOVE this book but it is just blah for me and I'm reading it slower than I would have liked. I'm not 65% through. I will finish it though.

message 1271: by Allison Ann (new)

Allison Ann | 1408 comments I figured if I couldn't read for goals I should just finish the fattest book I had going. So I did and I'll try and finish Winter (The Lunar Chronicles, #4) by Marissa Meyer today for another 100 points if we're still going. Strong finish!

message 1272: by Ariane (new)

Ariane I won't finish a book by the end of the day so this is it for me too. I thought I would do better here but I still had a great time with you girls and I hope to see your around in the future.
Thank you, that was fun!

I've always been a fast reader and competitive. I remember we had a thing called "Canada Reads" back when I was in grade school. You'd read as many books as you could during the month and you could win prizes and chances at big prizes like bikes. I went to a very small school and usually my number of books for the month was equal to the rest of the kids put together. Everyone accused me of cheating. Good times. :D
