I think we should boon one too, I have no books for the goals either.

I have a lot of books that have witches so you might want to hold onto the familiar/magical pet one. I had a magical pet in a previous book but the book was already used for a previous challenge. I am sure I will come across another one sooner or later.

I am currently covering the "women" goal and my next book could cover "best horror novels" goal if needed seen as I enjoy reading in that genre. That being said I completely agree on the fact that we should use our boon and I really don't mind which goal we use it on. I am easy :)

I would rather read the 2001 book than the X on cover book, so if we want to boon one of mine I would choose that one. :)

Looking back, LaLine wasn't having a very good week and said she probably wouldn't have her ship book done for awhile. If she wants to dump her book, I'm fine with that too.

I'll ask for boon to be used on the goal for X book. The other have books began or about to.

Just checking in. Crazy week and I have not finished the ship book yet, but I'm planning on finishing it by Sunday night. It will be feast or famine with my reading over the next few weeks - I have minor surgery on Monday and major surgery in December, so I'll be reading a ton during recovery time, but leading up to the surgeries will be busy time. I will not be claiming any more goals for awhile unless I know I can get one finished in one or two days max. Sorry if the ship book is slowing us down - I'm almost done!

It's no problem at all. No rush with the Ship book just finish when you can. I hope all goes well with your surgeries.

My book What Comes After Crazy has this phrase on page 178. "... explains to us all that Kaarina's bedroom has a boa constrictor in it, and he had to paint around this huge cage while this six-foot long reptile stared at him." It's obviously a snake, though the word snake isn't mentioned. Right?

Yep, a hero does something which I think was pretty dumb in one of my books.

It's slightly better than the book (which I didn't like at all) but I mainly just like Vivien Leigh swanning around at the beginning.

Unless I'm mistaken I don't think any of our goalless books have been turned into a movie?

Dead Man's Folly was a made for TV movie that I saw eons ago (I checked IMDB to be sure). The Titan's Curse and Hope to Die both had movies made about the series, though not specifically those books.

I have been so unwell since Thursday too so I haven't read much (hard to read when sleeping ha ha). Doesn't help that I am finding it seriously hard to get stuck into Big Little Lies ... I really don't know where this story is going !

Feel better soon Sarah-jane! Are you at least treating yourself with whatever you want to eat/watch/read when you are awake? I always spoil myself however I can when I'm sick, which usually means a diet of kettle chips and disney movies!

Thanks Faith ! Reading hasn't been my treat this time round unfortunately as I am determined to finish "Big little lies" and let's face it I suck at juggling several books at a time ha ha. So, it's been a diet of different kinds of tea, honey and TV series for the past few days :)

just adopted a dog at the local shelter. a 2 yr old chihuahua my daughter wants to name Happy. we already have a 9 yr old daxhsund who has been an only dog and has had run of the house. wish me luck as I get to work on introducing them. she comes home tomorrow after being neutered.

Best of luck Kari. I just added two cats to my house on Tuesday. Since there were already two cats in it, it's been an interesting time - lots of hissing. :D But no all out warfare so I consider it a success.
