I have nothing with Cookies, go for it!

This gave us the goal: Read a book with a man on the cover which I used Karen's book Envy as there was a lovely man on the cover of that!
So now Our current Goals are:
Read a book with a ball gown on the cover
Read a book with the word soldier, army, war or battle (plurals are acceptable) in the title
Read a book with the phrase "hot potato" in a book
Read a book with an illustrated cover
Read a book where the author's first name is one of the top 100 male names in Spain according to nameberry (http://nameberry.com/popular_names/Spain)
25 Days of Christmas Goals
°Read a book with a Red Cover
°Read a book that features cookies on the cover
Now, these still haven't been put onto the spreadsheet so I'm not sure if we can claim them.. I haven't got any books with a cookie on it, they did say in the mod chat that we could use fortune cookies. Just in case that helps anyone find a book :)

The Mods are working on adding the to the spreadsheet somewhere, so we can nust track the 25 Days of Christmas Books here, until then.

Yep, I was just meaning we can't like claim them as done until we have them on the sheet. Grace's book is done for the 1st christmas goal she read it after it was announced and asked mods and they said it was ok. Just need to wait until its on our sheets

Oh...okay, I must have missed that post.
I remeber the discussion about it, but not that she finished it.

Yup, those are heart cookies."
Sweet, I'm reading Angel Evolution for the Read a book where the author's first name is one of the top 100 male names in Spain according to nameberry (http://nameberry.com/popular_names/Spain) authors name is David which is like 7th on the list.

Yup, those are heart cookies."
Wow. That looks..Ummm...interesting. Is it as bad as it sounds?

I'm attempting to read it, just for the points for our group. So far, and I'm still in the first chapter I'm bored to tears. So I'm not sure how well this will go...

It was a 3.5 for me.
It was good, but confusing, which is why it was 3.5 abd not 4

I will search y books read for the phrases tomorrow as if i try updating tonight I am so tired I will break the spreadsheet :)

Pretty sure we've had Read a book with a onomatopoeia in the title before as well. Typical we are the team of goal repeats. Maybe we'll get an award for that haha!!

That's what I'm a little afraid of--I'm not sure I want to spend 700 pages with bored and confusing. I'll give it a quick shot and see how far I get. Thanks to both of you for the input.

Yeah just give it a go. I think its because I'm tired from working nights I'm not in the mood to read something that I have to really concentrate. I hope that once I've come off my nights I can focus and give it a go. Its a completely different genre book to what I usually go for so that could be good for me too.

I was kinda thinking it would be. Was it a complete waste of a book or was it not that bad?

LOL Thanks for taking one for the team.
I have started one with holiday in the title and it is pretty bad, thankfully it is very short.

After a couple of busy weeks I'm back! I may not be as present during the day as I used to be since I'm changing projects and learning a few things new, but, I have next week off, meaning I'll get things under control again.
So, my To Do list for the weekend is:
- Working on teams replacements/assignments before there is a mutiny
- Catching up on my Greek Teams - I missed a LOT in three weeks
- Solving pending issues
- Try to read a little bit (I'm 2 days behind on the BOM)
Anything urgent, you know the drill, either PM me, or pop in Poseidon's thread - I have sentinels there *giggles*
Oh... and

Read a book with a Holiday in the title
I thought it was the word holiday, to me the word holiday means Vacation and I forgot that in the US you mean Christmas, Easter etc I have lots of Christmas ones I can use but if someone else has something that works that is great.
I am currently reading

I will be offline between 10:00 am today, and most or all day tomorrow.
I am in a wedding party and have to do "bridesmaid stuff".
Which, sadley doesnt consist of being on Goodreads, and/or hiding in a corner with a book...{sigh}.

I am about today, as I am recovering from yesterday but my son has a grading tomorrow so Saturday will be busy.

Lucky you! :) I've been sleeping had an awful sleep. Post lady knocked then someone delivering someone then the dog started. Yay for the last night shift :)

Sure you can do.
Right our boon expires in..
When I'm posting this we have just under 24 hours or we lose another boon... So I'm thinking we use it for something if we can, I mean we may as well.. . Depends on what everyone else things of course.

Meg go ahead, I have a few that will work but I will search my kindle for hot potato.
I'm in a library with computers. (It's in Missouri) I don't think I'll be still reading Cassandra Clare. Probably because I bought Menagerie and I've been wanting it for a while now. I'm checking the spreadsheet. I'll finish Ashes though. I think Cliff Nielson illustrates his covers.

Okay that's cool if you get time to do the hot potato one that would be good. & if that Illustrated cover is going to be done then we'll just use it on a goal that we think we won't completed before the timer goes finishes.
YAYYYY! I'm back home with unlimited wifi until it glitches... I finished City of Ashes on the ride back home and started Menagerie. The goal is covered for illustrated cover.

I'm also reading Clockwork Princess at the moment which I'm hoping to finish soon as I break up from uni next week which will give me plenty more time to get on with reading!
Hope everyone is enjoying what they are reading at the moment : )

Awesome thanks Rebecca, :)
Lauren wrote: "I've now finished The Selection

Awesome thanks Lauren, I'll update the goals in two seconds.
You lucky thing, I'd give anything to go back to uni and not be working full time. haha!

Me and Lauren both finished books that work for goals. I think we should see what the new goals are and then decide.
