Don't worry I just went through. Nothing :( I was hoping we would have one but can't see any

message 702: by Grace (new)

Grace (Calcat) | 665 comments Thanks Megan. I thought we would have one. So annoying I have read three V titles but all have been used. Going to check my Calibre now.

Awesome, I should have the chick lit one down. I'm reading Size 12 Is Not Fat but its just so tedious. I'm struggling lol

message 704: by Grace (new)

Grace (Calcat) | 665 comments Sorry your book is boring, I have read some shockers recently. OK I have another V title I have been wanting to read.

Stacey (boydsmom) | 1377 comments Request for the Co-Captains: I did Rock Courtship on audio. Unfortunately it is coming up as 4 pages instead of the 125 pages the book is, so the spreadsheet isn't giving any points. Can you all do a page override on that one? It only gets us 5 points, but...

megan | 1492 comments I'm reading Fire War, so that goal is covered. (Sorry no link in app)
The new 25 Days goal is a book with SANTA in the text.

Awesome thanks. :-) Thanks for letting us know the next day, I hadn't had time to check yet :)

message 710: by Megan (new)

Megan | 1607 comments I've been through so many of my 'to-read' books and I cannot find one single 'hard cover' popular shelf. I went onto popular shelves (I googled 'popular shelves') and still cannot find anything. That may be the boon goal...

I also went through everyone else's spreadsheets to find if they had had this goal before and none had - lucky us!

Right I'm off to bed wooo :-) talk to you guys later on. 12 hours left now before the boon expires btw!

message 711: by Grace (new)

Grace (Calcat) | 665 comments Is anyone reading a Santa in the text as I can cover it.

We have a new goal read a book with a body part in the title . I am waiting to hear back from the mods if we can use Shadow and Bone (The Grisha, #1) by Leigh Bardugo

Grace (Calcat) | 665 comments Ellie I don't know if you are planning to read Bloodlines (Bloodlines, #1) by Richelle Mead but it has Mini Golf in it and it is approved for the golf goal. I can read it if you don't plan to.

Can anyone think of anything for the character given a last chance ?

I am going to check the books I need to read for anothe challenge see if any of the it the hardcover goal.

message 714: by Grace (new)

Grace (Calcat) | 665 comments I have used our boon for the hardcover one I just can't seem to find anything.

My son has a belt grading I won't be back until later.

I will finish my Santa book while I am out.

Megan | 1607 comments Megan wrote: "Which Xmas goals have we completed? Can we add a note after them to declare the complete?"

message 717: by megan (new)

megan | 1492 comments Ahh the strike through doesn't show up in the app then. Sorry.

message 723: by megan (new)

megan | 1492 comments It's cool. I can check the spread sheet. I just want to make sure I know what's being covered and what's not

message 724: by Grace (last edited Dec 05, 2015 11:26AM) (new)

Grace (Calcat) | 665 comments Not a problem. The fourth 25 Days of Tower Teams goal is not currently not on the spreadsheet. I have asked the Mods about it. I have completed a book that works for it.

Currently the only book anyone has directly claimed is the soldier/war one you are working on.

The latest one is hard to determine I was thinking of Megan's And Then There Were None as that has been very popular.

Ah good. I must admit I haven't seen it around that much.
I cannot read the American Gods book its so hard to read. :( I'm trying so hard but its just so slow and meh. :(

message 730: by Grace (new)

Grace (Calcat) | 665 comments Thanks Ellie that is great, I thought you might have it since you finished Vampire Academy and it showed up when I searched my Kindle for golf.

message 731: by Grace (new)

Grace (Calcat) | 665 comments The latest 25 Days of Tower Teams Goal is

Read a book with a green cover for 10 points!

message 732: by Grace (new)

Grace (Calcat) | 665 comments Of our other goals Meg is covering the War one, Ellie the golf one, I am reading a book for the yelllow dress. that leaves the Dystopian one and Read a book where someone is given a last chance.

message 733: by Stacey (new)

Stacey (boydsmom) | 1377 comments I have a couple I can pick from for the Dystopian read. I'll start one--or go back to The Bone Season--but I'm a slower reader, so someone else may finish one before me.

BOM question: We can read the book ahead of time, we just don't get the BOM points when we answer the questions later in the month, correct? I got Uprooted early from the Library and just wanted to make sure I can go ahead and start it.

message 734: by megan (new)

megan | 1492 comments I finished Pretty Girls early and just took notes on an index card about how I felt after major stuff, then I was able to answer questions by remembering how I felt without knowing the end.

message 735: by Karen (new)

Karen | 65 comments My book Crave (Fallen Angels, #2) by J.R. Ward will cover the "last chance" goal. Each one in the series is about a soul being given one last chance to save itself

message 736: by Grace (new)

Grace (Calcat) | 665 comments Karen you are right. They do fit perfectly but every book you have read so far has been used for a goal. If you read book 5 at some point that will work.

Grace (Calcat) | 665 comments Day 7 Read a book with the word cornucopia in the text for 10 points!

So annoying, it was in a book I read the other day. It is in a couple of kindle freebies Neanderthal Seeks Human (Knitting in the City, #1) by Penny Reid and The Housewife Assassin's Handbook (The Housewife Assassin #1) by Josie Brown

It is also in Touch of Frost (Mythos Academy, #1) by Jennifer Estep and Smilla's Sense of Snow by Peter Høeg

I can read something unless someone else has a book that works.

I will be done with a book featuring a hellhound soon and I have a short green cover I can read.

I arranged my TBR by page number and I have a couple that will add to twenty but they are both in series and I have one more book to read to get to that one.

Audrey Jane | 1815 comments Checking in! I'm sorry for not checking in earlier. I'm still working on American Gods. I understand Megan, the book is a doorstopper, hanging in there. I've got a copy of Uprooted now, can't wait to pick it up.

I took a day off from work today. I'm about to go out and do some Christmas shopping, love the atmosphere, after that I'm going to snuggle up with my book next to the radiator :)

Doing great team !

Ghost in the Stacks No we can only use it for one or the other

Unfortunately not but there are a few common names on it like William, Edward, jack and Daniel so it shouldn't be too hard to come across one that works soon.
