Have fun my friend is travelling around France, Belgium and Germany this week going to Christmas markets. It looks so beautiful.

Well done on sticking with American Gods, I couldn't face it and it has been shelved so many times as Abandoned or DNF.

Ghost in the Stacks I should be done with The Grim Grotto (A Series of Unfortunate Events, #11) by Lemony Snicket , which is mostly Green today

I finished it, I'll be shelving it as a 'regret' because I wasted hours of my life I'll never get back :/

We as a group (myself very much included) seem to suck on a whole for reading books with male authors. I've tried a lot over this year to read more by a male author but they're not often reccomended to me on amazon or on here so I struggle.

I did however look on that list and William is on there so I am reading William Shakespeare's Midsummer Nights dream so I'll finish that soon. Hopefully anyway.

How are you doing with the Maze Runner Stacey? I was surprised to enjoy it.

Yeah that helps but it did challenge even me for reading it quickly what sort of author names the main character Shadow for goodness sake!

Me too, its probably my favourite one from when I was a child.

message 760: by Grace (new)

Grace (Calcat) | 665 comments uggh Shadow. Worst character name I read was in an awful shifter story, he was a werewolf called Silver Moon, that really irked me lol

I always go see if it is on locally, it is a fun happy play.

I'm finding Maze Runner a bit frustrating, Megan. Lots of Thomas asking questions and no one telling him anything which leads to him getting in trouble because he didn't know he wasn't supposed to do something because no one told him anything. It's a big circle. But I'm just over halfway and it looks like the action is going to start picking up soon, so here's hoping!

And you all are making me really happy that I decided against starting American Gods! :)

Not even started on the music shelf one doubt that is going to be easy.

message 764: by Stacey (new)

Stacey (boydsmom) | 1377 comments I'm working on Bloodfever on audio. So far lots of Fae and some mention of Druids, but no Gods. I will keep my ears open for one though.

LOL Sorry it was so bad. At least you didn't read Bound (Mastered, #1) by Lorelei James that was another bad BOM

I went through my entire TBR list yesterday night to see if I had any books that fit this. I've got about 4 that are one off! Which is of course the way it would go.

Okay I'll try and remember to avoid it. Its just funny my first BOM and its that book... Not a good start lol

message 776: by Grace (new)

Grace (Calcat) | 665 comments At least they can only get better :)

I have the cornucopia book done and I am onto the Music one. Do you have anything with kids or children in the title ?

I can do page no and Celtic gods but if someone else gets something done first that is great.

message 777: by Megan (new)

Megan | 1607 comments The Railway Children should work for it. I've just added it to my TBR I'll start it when I get a moment, if I get one.

I've not read the book but I was obsessed as a child with the film they did of it. No idea why I've never read the book to be honest.

message 791: by Grace (new)

Grace (Calcat) | 665 comments I have books that will work for page number, Green cover, Celtic god and Citrine. I will do the green cover in the morning as it is short. The others need to wait as I have specific books I need to read for another challenge, if someone else hits them great if not I will read for them soon to get them out of the way.

The days goals don't need to be read in order and stay there and we get a new one daily. The other goals don't move until we complete one so unless the day one is very obscure it is probably better to use something for regular goals and get them moving in the hopes we have some already read books that fit and clear some more.

THATS WHAT I FOUND!

I was just urgh like £5 for a cheesy romance I'll probably regret reading I'm not sure. I was thinking of Ring in the Holidays but I'm not sure I'll get a chance to read it.

message 800: by Grace (new)

Grace (Calcat) | 665 comments I wouldn't pay that for it lol I got it for £0.99 at one point.

I saw tha one but I am too OCD to read out of order. There was another one A Cowboy for Christmas (Jubilee, Texas, #3) by Lori Wilde but again too far into a series for me although they do all look like standalone books.
