Read a book about a group of friends.

I read The Score which will work for the group of friends goal. And the book in starting now has a single eye in the cover, so that goal is covered.

Our current Goals are:

°Read a book where there is house renovation involved

I have a book with make in the title and I have asked the mods about one with a wheel on the cover.

Rebecca has deleted her account. Sonia has been fabulous and has restored her books and points for us.

Not yet. You have the eye one covered. I have one for an arm amd a leg that works for another challenge for me. The only hard one is Under the sea. I will check the listopia one after dinner as I haven't had a chance to check our unused books against the list yet.

I'm motoring my way through the Morganville Vampire series, currently on book #12 and there is 15 I believe.. I will get through it, just so I can get this series behind me...

I am reading a book on the memoir list but I am going through it slowly, I started it before Christmas. I am mostly through a Harry Potter and that should work for banned book.

°Read a book where the edition you are reading was published on the 8th of a month
°Sort your "to read" shelf by 'date added' and read a book that is within Numbers 51-100 on your list (the first column before the book cover image)
°Read a book which features a snake on the cover or in the story.

Does anyone have anything that works for the new goals ? I have a Harry Potter close to finish that will work for the snake one.

Do we want to think about using the Mega Boon ?

I agree about the mega boon. We worked hard to get it and other teams are so close it can't do any harm using it : )

Okay Karen was finishing a book today for one of the goals. After that I can request the Mega boon.

Karen is reading a book that fits the TBR list and I am reading one for where the author is already dead. I will see if anything already fits the goals that replace these and then request the Mega Boon unless anyone has any objections.

Good morning team! I will be able to submit a last book today, I'm currently finishing 'Still life with murder' and I'm enjoying it a lot. It's an historical mystery set in nineteenth century Boston.
Btw I've checked our team spreadsheet and can't find Uprooted marked as BOM. I've answered all the discussion questions, if it's not too late it might give us some points ;)

Karen thanks. that book had been used but I had a short one I read for it. I used your TBR book for that goal.

We were able to fill in 7 more goals after that.

The new ones are

Read a book that won or was nominated in the 2012 Goodread Choice Awards (https://www.goodreads.com/choiceaward...)

Read a book with a character that is a lion (or a shape shifter who turns into a lion)

I didn't see any that worked on the unused goals but is hard to know about the lion bit.

Our current Goals are:

°Read a book with the word car, vehicle, bike, bicycle, truck or lorry (plurals are acceptable) in the title
°Read a book shelved (listed on the first page of the "top shelves" of the book) as started - plurals and minor spelling variations are acceptable
°Read a book where the edition you are reading was published on the 22th of a month
°Read a book with the phrase "Add insult to injury" in a book
°Read a book with the phrase "Have a kitten" in a book

Mega Boon was given and I was able to use read books for 6 more goals. The team in first place is very close so looks like they might reach 25000 today. We should hopefully finish in top ten and we are so close to 20000 which is fantastic. Everyone did a great job.

Abbie you have definitely been busy, so many great challenges.

The team in first is only 255 points away from the win son should be soon. We are currently in 8th place and have passed the 2000 points mark so we should be proud of ourselves :)

It has been great playing with you all. I think finishing in the top ten is a great achievement. Thanks to those who struggled through books for goals, I know there were a few that were hard going.

I had a great time playing Tower Teams again, it's one of the better, if not the best team challenge I've participated to.
Btw, sorry for not being more chatty. We did great as a team :)
