( Once ) upon a time... there was a kingdom, hidden in a realm far from ours. This kingdom was ruled by sovereignty - the purest of blood, free from the taint of sorcery and magic. To understand this kingdom's history, there is one thing you must understand; in this world, there are two types of beings; magical and mundane.

( The ) magical beings varied from sorcerers to witches - people who could harness the earth's magic and manipulate it to their will. The mundanes were just that - human. And humanity was afraid of anything that challenged their power. Long before war and prejudice encompassed the land, humanity and magical beings lived together harmoniously. It was common for them to intermingle and have half-breed children - at least until the rule of Xavier IV came to be.

( When ) Xavier was crowned King, he was a kind and just ruler. What his citizens did not know was that it was just a facade. Xavier had committed a terrible crime. Only about a year before his induction to the throne, Xavier had become secretly involved with the daughter of a powerful witch. He convinced her he loved her, and would do anything for her. The naive girl believed him, and the night after they made love, she woke up to an empty bed. He had left her. She waited for many nights for him to return to her, but once she realized he had lied to her, the world was filled with the young witch's wrath.

( What ) Xavier didn't know, that not only did he leave behind an infuriated, powerful witch, but that he left her with his child growing inside her. He let time pass by without a care in the world, never looking back on the witch he tricked into bed. Oh, how she thought about him. Hatred boiled inside of her heart, only cooled a little when she realized she was going to have a child. She concocted a master plan to get her revenge - the witch would bear the child and show Xavier. He would have no choice but to accept the child as his own and give him the throne in his wake.

( Just ) as the Imperial Crown brushed his head at the induction ceremony, the doors to the castle flew open and with them, arrived the long forgotten witch and he newborn baby. After proclaiming the child Xavier's confidently, he simply laughed in her face. He told the witch and everyone else he would never sleep with a witch of all people. Absolutely enraged, the young witch and her fellow magical beings took great offence to this - Xavier's words created a crevice between the species that was irreparable...

( The ) next decade was an era in which prejudice and racism bred between the species. The magics receded into the woods to separate themselves from the human population. Violence broke out all over the kingdom, and it reached a point of no return when Xavier proclaimed all magical beings an enemy of the royal family. This is when war broke out.

( Over ) a century later, the war had faded to nothing but the prejudice and hatred was more prevalent than ever. Will the two species ever resolve the complications between them? Or will the kingdom fall back into chaos? The Kingdom awaits you...
