the history
// The first origins of magic came long before the creation of humans. Magic lives in the ground beneath us and in the air we breath - it is everywhere. The first magics (nickname from humans given to the magical beings) came to the world before people could write or communicate.

// The first magic to master her powers was Morgan le Fae. She gave birth to the powerful witches who could bend the earth to their will using the ancient language of seidr (view spoiler). Merlin was the first male to channel his powers into making alchemy. With his revelations, he cured many illnesses and made new discoveries unlike any other.

the leaders
// All magics are ruled by a witch - this witch is always a direct descendant of Roslyn ( the witch whom started the war between magical beings and humanity ).

//The ruling witch is called the Princep.

//A council of three magics serve as her advisers - this council is made up of a sorcerer, a wiccan and a witch from a different heritage.

the species
// The Witches - the term witch encompasses men and women. These magics use the language of seidr to harness their magic. This means if they can't speak, their magic will not work. A common form of torture by humans is to cut off their tongues so witches can't use their magic anymore. (view spoiler) It is impossible for a witch to become fluent in seidr - it takes many many years to learn it and understand it. A witch will start learning seidr at 16 - the same age sorcerers get their Librems. Normally their parents will teach them or someone else from the witch community.

// The Sorcerers - like witches, the term sorcerer encompasses women as well as men. The sorcerers have the ability to use alchemy. This means using herbs and elements from the earth to channel their powers. They can conjure anything from medicine to bombs using their affinity. Their alchemy includes using cauldrons, plants, elements and other earthly items. Once a sorcerer turns 16, they will gain access to their family's Librem - this is a hereditary book that teaches everything from the basics of alchemy to near-impossible concoctions their ancestors created.

// The Wiccan - these people have the simplest of the magics. They have an affinity to one element (fire, water, air, earth) and can manipulate it at will. They are born with these abilities and learn to control it at a young age. The Wiccan are considered the weakest of the magical beings.
