So a lot of the time the book is better than the movie adaption\tv adaption.
But sometimes the movie\tv is better.
Lets list them.

Mine:
- angus, thongs and full frontal... I saw the movie first loove it, seen it again since can probably see it a thousand times more.
The book., not so much. Dident like it.
- paper towns.. dident really like the book, the movie was pretty good.
- the maze runner, soo slow book. such a great movie.

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 957 comments For me:

- Maze Runner & Scorch Trial
- Perks of Being a Wallflower
- Kick-Ass
- How to Train Your Dragon
- Where the Wild Things Are
- Scott Pilgrim(only by a tiny bit)
- Vampire Diaries(couldn't finish book 1, love the show).

and, very unpopular opinion

- Vampire Academy

And I swear, my giant crushes on both Emma Watson and Mae Whitman had very little to do with my liking the movie better haha.

My favorite movie of all time is To Kill A Mockingbird. I do like the movie better than the book, but of course, the book was really good too!

I also thought A Little Princess was a better movie than the book. I kind of agree with The Maze Runner, although I did like the book too. Practical Magic--movie was WAY better than the book, and that was because Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock rocked that movie!

I saw the newer version of Pride and Prejudice (with Kira Knightly) and it's still one of my all time favorite movies! I watch it every time I flip through channels and find it's playing. And then last year I finally read the book. I was so disappointed that the book ending wasn't the same as the movie. Ha!

Jenny I agree with To Kill A Mockingbird!!

Ashley Marie -Perks
-Lord of the Rings
-The Fault in Our Stars
-Stardust
-Casino Royale

I consider TKAM to be just as good as its source material. Same for the Millennium trilogy.

Sacrilege! P&P with Colin Firth and Jennifer Ehle is the best version! Having said that, I will also add that I highly dislike Keira Knightley because she overacts IMO. But either way the BBC version will always be my all time favorite (I own it and just recently re-watched it on Amazon Prime). Colin Firth is dreamy in it!

Yup. Its by Alice Hoffman, sort of an older book. Don't bother reading it, it was really just an okay sort of read. I read it after I watched the movie, though.

Brigid ✩ | 738 comments I second Stardust and How To Train Your Dragon (although I do still like the HTTYD books, they're just very different from the movies). Also love the movie adaptations of Perks and To Kill a Mockingbird, although I still like the books better.

I like the movie of Howl's Moving Castle better than the book. Also I love the movie version of Coraline––it's pretty different from the book, but I love both a lot.

message 16: by Ashley Marie (new)

Ashley Marie ohhhh yes both versions of Coraline are wonderful!

I haven't seen the version with Colin Firth. :( I do love him though! Ok, it's my mission to seek out and watch P&P - Colin Firth version! ;)

message 18: by Giedre (new)

Giedre fifty shades of grey. at least in the movie you can't hear all those stupid thoughts :)

You must!! Do you have Amazon Prime? It is on there. Otherwise I am sure your library has it.

I love Shailene Woodley, so getting to see her do her thing as Tris helped put the movie on about equal ground for me.

And that was actually my first exposure to Divergent. I liked the action, the music, the excitement you saw building. When I read the book I didn't get that sense of excitement... I just... Felt a lot of despair.
