Melissa | 71 comments Besides the obvious The Exorcist, I'm having a pretty difficult time finding any fictional books about exorcisms. Any suggestions?

it didn't take long to read it, you het into the story & it's hard to put down.

Jonathan Janz (jonathanjanz) | 978 comments SON OF THE ENDLESS NIGHT is a great book by John Farris. It's not necessarily about exorcism, but there are several similarities between Farris's book and THE EXORCIST.

Another amazing book is William Peter Blatty's LEGION, which is incredibly scary (not unlike THE EXORCIST).

I've not yet read A HEAD FULL OF GHOSTS, but many readers I trust have said it's incredible. I'll definitely be reading it at some point.

Timothy Taylor (tim_taylor) | 56 comments Another good one I highly recommend is by our own (and humble) friend Jonathan Janz, Exorcist Road by Jonathan Janz .

If you mean in terms of 'Playboy will no longer be depicting pictures of cunny', then no Exorcist Road is not full of cunny :) It's a very gritty, who done it story of a boy believed to be possessed by demons.

Possessed: The True Story of an Exorcism looks interesting though.

Tim, I apologize on behalf of HA for Sheldon's remark. He's been booted.

Leah Polcar | 40 comments There are a few non-fiction books that read sort of like fiction that deal with exorcism. I know you are asking specifically about fiction, but I could recommend:

Hostage to the Devil: The Possession and Exorcism of Five Contemporary Americans

The Rite: The Making of a Modern Exorcist

Also, for a book about just plain old possession, a lot of people like:

Come Closer
