Instructions & Info:

Rules:

Use this thread to find your buddy and determine your book! You can always start by posting books, authors or genres you are interested in. When you decide who your buddy will be and what book(s) you're going to read head on over to the FINAL SIGN UP thread (see link at bottom) and tell me your book and buddy there (there will be instructions to follow).

1. If you want to participate post your name and let people know what genre(s) you are interested in reading and/or any books that you're interested in reading.

2. If you already know who you’d like to read with, go to the Final Sign Up thread and post your information for me!

3. Groups of 3 or more are also fine, the more the merrier.

4.I will create Buddy Discussion Threads for each Buddy group and you will be able to start reading and discussing.

5. There are no rules on what, how much or how often to discuss or how best to pace your reading - whatever works best for each individual group.

5.The challenge will span a month.

6.You CAN sign up for more than one Buddy Read...in fact it's encouraged!

ANY QUESTIONS JUST ASK!

Once you have a buddy, go to the November Sign Up Thread and post your book and your buddy.

I would like a buddy or two or three to read the Pamela Clare I-Team Serial. There are about 11 books. This will be a re-read for me except for the last book that was released a couple of days ago.

Will be reading:

I would like to participate in this one but don't have a partner. I'm willing to read almost any kind of book. I'm just not into the erotica books. I do enjoy some romance novels if there's an actual story line though. How does this challenge work?

It's really simple. This is only my second time participating and I really like it. You have 2 options. Post books you are interested in reading and others will let you know if they would like to buddy read one of your choices with you. Or you can lurk in this thread to see what others post and if you see a book you like just reply saying you would like to buddy read that book with them. You can join as many buddy reads as you like. Then a little bit later they will start a separate post for each book chosen and you just read and discuss!

Tiffany, I would like to do a Buddy Read and don't have a partner. I like Mysteries, Thrillers, Suspense, Police/Crime, Cozy Mysteries and some Chick Lit, Rom-Coms and YA. If you're interested, maybe we can either pick something we both have in common on our TBR list or pick something new that interests both of us.

Hi I'm Kay and this is my first time being able to do this. Im into Mystery,Thriller & Supense, all Romance, Science Fiction & Fantasy. I read pretty anything and would love to participate with the Buddy read. I'm not really sure how this work but I am interested in reading Into The Darkest Corner and also Targeted. Thank you!

How many books do we choose for the month? Both of you have a lot of books I'd like to read in your TR list. I'll read whatever one y'all agree on :). I do love crime dramas and have been planning to try some of Patricia Cornwell's books.

Hi guys! I haven't done one of these in months, but now that summer is long gone my reading is back on track. I would love to join you guys with . I read my first Lisa Kleypas book this weekend and can't wait to read more!

I think that's up to the individual group (s). I read a LOT, so I'll let you and Sherri make the decision of what works for you all. Or we can start with one and keep going with them as the month progresses, if we're moving along quickly...

is chromologically the next in order of the ones that both Sherri and I have yet to read...

Tiffany & Kay: I see a few responses back and forth; was anything picked? In response to some of your responses, I do like Janet Evanovich, but I have read all her #/Plum books; I like Patricia Cromwell & have 3 in the Scarpetta series but out of order so any other than those 3, I am fine with & JD Robb's "...in Death" series is a new love for me; I have read the last two, #41 & 42 and planned to start at beginning and worth through, but I will read any of #1 - 40 as a Buddy Read.

I'm up for any/all of the In Death books. I haven't read any Patricia Cromwell but will read any that y'all want. Out of your TR lists, these are the ones that caught my eye:

Tiffany & Kay: Same thing for In Death/Robb and Scarpetta/Cromwell books.

As for the 5 others you listed, I would really like to do Pretty Girls, but I just added my name to the Waiting List at my library, which is very long, so I don't think I will have it for a November Buddy Read. I just put The Silent Sister on Hold yesterday and plan to pick it up this weekend and most likely wasn't going to get to it until November anyway so I'm all for that one. I don't think or remember 2 of the other ones are on my TBR, but I just checked and they aren't at my library and probably not enough time for me to find and buy used.

So my vote for November would be for The Silent Sister or one in either the In Death/Robb or Scarpetta/Cromwell series'.

Thanks Boo Kitty, I have a couple to read or listen to for a couple challenges or GR Group BOTM and a couple I have already borrowed from library SO for November, 1 Buddy Read is enough for me.

*hugs* We both are, Ezi! Remember, I had to have you tell me about two of them! I swear, we'll be relying on each other to remember our readings even when we're 90!

We should pull the Scanguards thread out of the archives too, especially with us reading Mortal Wish: A Scanguards Vampires Novella.
