Hey :)

Salutations!

I think that she's the type that would be arrested a lot, and maybe he feels obligated to help her get out of it, or she taunts and torments him enough that she guilts him into it?

message 4: by [deleted user] (new)

Guilts whom into what? Sorry, brain fart.

Adrian will most definitely make Lorin get her out of any legal jams she gets into. Probably a lot since she's pretty illegal with most of her activities.
Would he help her automatically because of Hadley, or would she have to torment and guilt him into it first?

message 6: by [deleted user] (new)

Lorin'd probably help almost instantly -- maybe with a little bit of hesitation once he's properly with Dermott.

So how can we get the stuff with her and Nyco Drake to work?

Maybe the chief of police hears about how much Adrian gets let off any charges and he's pretty pissed, but he doesn't get anything from either Lorin or Adrian so he takes both Lorin and Adrian to the council to get them in serious trouble?

message 8: by KT (new)

KT (queenlykt) | 866 comments Mod
I think after she betrays her she'll feel guilty, but she's also pretty selfish, so she'll force herself to get over it and come up with an excuse for herself.
Maybe after she betrays ND she feels bad and she kind of has a different viewpoint so she goes and finds Lorin and she's like "I still don't like you, but... It wasn't your fault." Which won't be easy for her to say but she'll get it out.

message 9: by [deleted user] (new)

1. That could work. ND definitely wouldn't do anything to Lorin just because she recognises his skills as useful. I could see ND watching a street fight as Nikita Eld, so they could meet again that way.

2. Ooh I love that. The sad thing is that he would still believe it to be his fault.

message 10: by [deleted user] (new)

Sorry for taking so long to reply -- had a reply written out but then my phone died.

message 11: by KT (new)

KT (queenlykt) | 866 comments Mod
1. Why wouldn't she do anything to Adrian though?

2. She will not be able to handle it afterwards because the last thing she said to Hadley is "I hate you." So hating Lorin gave her something else to concentrate on besides what she had done.

message 12: by [deleted user] (new)

1. That needs to be worked out -- maybe she doesn’t say she won't do anything and implies she will and then starts trying to torment her and then plan on executing her?

2. Lorin has a lot of self-hatred and blames himself for Hadley dying and is not really able to deal with his grief well. Lorin probably sdores her but avoids her because he feels so guilty and probably wouldn't be able to look her in the eyes when by his own reckoning he is responsible for Hadley's death.

message 13: by KT (new)

KT (queenlykt) | 866 comments Mod
1. Adrian loves to antagonize people so she will definitely make it worse on herself.

2. I feel like after she admits it they'd start spending some time together. Like she'd probably want to make up for how she treated him but won't know how so she'll just go out of her way to find him and then freeze up and end up just kinda sitting beside him not saying or doing anything.
2B. Maybe she can end up giving him a tattoo?

message 14: by [deleted user] (new)

1. Yeah, I could imagine that. So it's a go then?

2. They would. I feel like there would be a lot of awkward sitting next to each other and not knowing what to do sessions since he wouldn't know what to do with her either.

3/2B. She could, though if this is later, Dermott would probably have to grant Lorin his permission to do so (though Lorin would probably do it no matter what Dermott thinks)

1. Should we start with a little of Lorin coming to save her from getting arrested (once again) and then they go to see ND?

2. I think they would have been pretty friendly before Hadley died. Like she was living with Hadley at the time so I think they would have been friends. Not BFFs, but the type to chill and play video games and never really talk about anything worth actually talking about.

3. I think she'd hate Dermott. Like I'd imagine she'd never really like Lorin again (or at least it would take a long time) but she felt bad and she'd get kind of protective over him. Like since Hadley loved him she'd want him to not getting hurt. Maybe at some point Dermott gets fed up with her and wants to have her tortured and executed and we can bring ND back in with her?

message 16: by [deleted user] (new)

1. Sure, but Lorin isn't free at the moment.

2. Lorin was living with Hadley, too (he'd never actually lived on his own until Hadley's death, and he kind of fails at that). That works except Lorin would not have been playing the video games so much as probably watching Hadley and Adrian play.

3. Makes sense. Lorin would be very confused about why anyone is sticking up for him at all (he's already confused about why Dermott has any interest in him whatsoever).

1. Alright, just let me know when :)

message 18: by KT (new)

KT (queenlykt) | 866 comments Mod
Alright so you said he was a really horrible person before his amnesia? How horrible? Like would he have hired a prostitute?
Because if so maybe it would have been Krissy and after he got his amnesia he ran into her again and she's uncomfortable and he asks why and yeah?

message 19: by [deleted user] (new)

Probably. Like he'd be like Ramsey from Game of Thrones probably. With maybe a touch of Jack the Ripper.

That would be interesting. Especially since he'd be like terribly naive and innocent now and probably not be able to comprehend what he's done before.

message 20: by KT (new)

KT (queenlykt) | 866 comments Mod
I haven't watched GoT yet (YET I definitely will) but Jack the Ripper is good...

Krissy is really sweet and selfless and tends to overlook the bad things people do. She tries really hard to only see the good in people despite her job. It might take her a while depending on what he was like but she'd eventually help him and stuff.

message 21: by [deleted user] (new)

You need to watch it.

I know she does. He would have been very horrible to them. Very.

message 22: by KT (new)

KT (queenlykt) | 866 comments Mod
She'll probably try and avoid him then for a while, and really just try and not see him if possible. So it'll take her a lot of time but eventually she'll try to help him. I'm not sure if she should have a tipping point reason to help him, like he does something to help her, or if it'll just be time.

message 23: by [deleted user] (new)

That works. So what do you think should have happened with my charrie to have made him lose all memory. I'm going to make him early to mid twenties. He could do something to help her without realizing it? Or maybe he helps her read or something or offers to do so or asks if she wants to learn how to read with him?

message 24: by KT (new)

KT (queenlykt) | 866 comments Mod
Well usually causes of amnesia are like strokes, heart attacks, tumors, dementia, longs time of being a hardcore alcoholic. And those wouldn't really work with his age. But carbon monoxide poisoning and some drugs can cause it. So I'd recommend those.

I am all for him teaching her to read. Like he walks in when she's staring at her book and he's read it and asks about her favorite character or whatever and she's really ashamed that she can't read so she lies about it and he realizes that and yeah?

message 25: by [deleted user] (new)

I'll go with the drugs then. That sounds more likely.

That'd be cool. He's probably only even been into books since he lost his memory -- I think he forgot how to read with it but someone'd been teaching him and he loves it and yeah. It'd be interesting.

I have another charrie who can't read -- Dagfinn "Dagger" Escarra. His parents were teaching him, but when they died, he was jsut like nope and never bothered. So now he has to scan words with technology and have it read the words aloud to him in order to compensate.

message 26: by KT (new)

KT (queenlykt) | 866 comments Mod
It's some medications that do it. I'm sure you can find a list if you want to get specific

Krissy never really had a chance to learn, and she can't afford to waste her money on the tech to have things read to her. But she hates not being able to read.

message 27: by [deleted user] (new)

Yeah probably. Will look into that when I properly start on his charrie.

Yeah. The money Dagger spends on it is probably not his own, to be honest. Lycus hates how much he struggled to read when he tried again as an adult, but unlike Krissy, he lacks the patience to even try.

message 28: by KT (new)

KT (queenlykt) | 866 comments Mod
Krissy still has to pay off her blackmail so she doesn't dare blow it on stuff. She's really smart so she just hates it that she can't do a simple thing like that.

message 29: by [deleted user] (new)

Dagger's powerful and has the resources. Lycus has always been poor and he's driven himself almost broke with trying to make things up with Lyria in addition to lacking patience.

KT (queenlykt) | 866 comments Mod
Alright so what else do we have to do with Iwan and Kris? All we have is that he was a client, and then how they get in touch again.

Adrian can read, but she isn't the bookish type, so it doesn't really matter to her that she can.

message 31: by [deleted user] (new)

I guess we need like where they'd meet again and why. Also, I feel like my charrie would feel really guilty about everything and therefore is really nice/gives money to anyone that seems to need it/tries to figure out who he hurt so he can make up for it? But other than that, I think he keeps to himself and tries not to bother anyone.

Yeah. Same goes for a couple of my characters, too.

message 32: by [deleted user] (new)

We need to rp Evander and Lyra at some point, too.

message 33: by KT (new)

KT (queenlykt) | 866 comments Mod
Would he remember her, or just what she ends up telling him?

We do! I think it'd be adorable. I could put her in with Evander, Kat, Cherry, Sol, and Adrian if we want? But there is quite a few characters there right now.

message 34: by [deleted user] (new)

He wouldn't remember. She'd have to tell him or he would figure it out some other way.

It would be. Yeah, later would make more sense.

message 35: by KT (new)

KT (queenlykt) | 866 comments Mod
Would he not remember anything, or would he have any kind of vague memory of her existence?

message 36: by [deleted user] (new)

Maybe a vague but not really anything concrete. I'll have to research amnesia.

message 37: by KT (new)

KT (queenlykt) | 866 comments Mod
There's a lot of different types.

message 38: by [deleted user] (new)

Yeah, I'm going to have to research.

message 39: by KT (new)

KT (queenlykt) | 866 comments Mod
Some things are more interesting to research than others.
Like I have to look up sociopathy for a character and that's fascinating to me. But amnesia... Idk. I love reading characters with it but it's not something I like learning about quite as much, you know?

message 40: by [deleted user] (new)

Indeed.

I've seen that. It's a fascinating thing to research. Yeah, I haven't looked into it. Should be interesting.

message 41: by KT (new)

KT (queenlykt) | 866 comments Mod
Let me know when you have him figured out better :P

message 42: by [deleted user] (new)

I will. I need to finish Pheonix and maybe Freya, too, first. Or at least work on them. =) But then I'll be working on the guys for my new collab ideas.

message 43: by KT (new)

KT (queenlykt) | 866 comments Mod
I still have my delightfully crazy Jaida to finish too, and Krissy is done already so I got that covered :)

message 44: by [deleted user] (new)

Yep indeed! =D

message 45: by [deleted user] (new)

Hey, Maska and I were thinking: what if Dagger and Xal's gang were the ones that Krissy keeps paying and that nightclub is a money laundering business for them?

message 46: by KT (new)

KT (queenlykt) | 866 comments Mod
Would it work?
I didn't bother explaining it in her history a whole lot, but I had the ones she's paying be a couple that owns another club that took her in for a while, then later demanded payment for helping.
I mean I am all for it I'm just not sure how it'd work, you know?

message 47: by [deleted user] (new)

Hmmm it could be run as a money laundering business, but like a couple be in charge of the actual business?

message 48: by KT (new)

KT (queenlykt) | 866 comments Mod
Works for me.
Would Dagger and Xal know about her specifically?

message 49: by [deleted user] (new)

Cool.

Probably, though they probably don't know her personally

((I was thinking that the couple 'owning' the nightclub would be part of the gang, put in charge of dealing with the nightclub kinda thing.. if you know what i mean...??

I agree with Elf, they probably wouldn't know her personally. Maybe one of Xal's rats is aware of her situation but besides that the couple could just be doing this on their own with no relation with their connection to the gang?? Just a thought.. idk))
