I see a lot of people who are reading like 2/3 books at the same time. Am I the only one who likes to concentrate on one book? Idk I feel weird now because there is sooo much on my to read list but I never read 2 at the same time.. lol

I ONLY ever read 1 book at a time as I believe you get more out of a book if you're devoted to it. I would also struggle greatly to differentiate the small details of 1 book to another if I was reading more than 1 !!! :D - SH

I only read one book at a time, because I really want to appreciate that story and make sure I get as much out of it as I can.

Oh and I am reading Miranda harts is it just me? At the moment. You guys?

Ooooo ! I really want to read that ! At the moment I'm reading Unfed by Kirsty McKay (sequel to Undead). Just finished Torment by Lauren Kate which was literally Tormenting ... - SH

Yeah Miranda's book is really good so far! I've never read unfed before, I'll check it out :)

The Miranda Hart book! I need to read that - desperately! I love love love Miranda Hart so yeah. I;m reading Slated #1 and its good so farm just finished the perks of being a wallflower :) How is everyone?

I tend to read one book at a time because if I start reading a second one, I'll probably leave the first one halfway through and forget to pick it up until I'm done with the second book.
The books you guys are reading look very interesting! I'm especially curious about the Mortal Instruments series, I've been wanting to read those for a while :)
At the moment I'm reading Fahrenheit 451. Hopefully I'll finish it by the end of March so I can start reading Fangirl for the Hopeful book club :)

I always try to read just one book but sometimes I get distracted by another book I really want to read. Yesterday I read a book called The Shock of the Fall, and I couldn't have read anything else at the same time because it was SO GOOD!!!

I think it is a crime to try and read more than one book at a time as I feelyou never get the true essence of the novel! I literally just finished the book thief and an about to start More Than This!

The book thief is soooo good! What I love about goodreads is that no one reads books because they're 'popular', its just if its interesting, then I'll read it :) Some people only read books so that they're doing what everyone else is and not because they enjoy it - this was really random sorryy

I can only read one at once and at the moment I'm reading the night circus by Erin Morgenstern

Oh heyy Catalina! Yep, thats the beauty of goodreads, everyone reads a huuuge range of books rather than the 'popular' ones so its great! I get some good 'want to reads' as well =D

Ahh Rikki yes that is my pet peeve at the moment! Like, everyone HAS to read John Green and then agree he's the greatest author but then read no other books. I love that people here read loads of different books

Hey Jennie! Yes, I remember the rave around perks and everyone just over quoted it, same with tfios, I like to enjoy the book without people just quoting what they've seen. I get that some people read it because they see it everywhere, but when they just read for the sake of its popularity, its annoying! I love both John and Hank as vlogbrothers so I'm proud to see John do really well, but when people just say 'YES GREATEST AUTHOR EVER' when all they've read is tfios, its silly

I can only read one book at a time because I can't focus on multiple books at once, and I'm currently reading animal farm by george orwell :)

rikki I definitely agree with your thoughts on goodreads and popularity based readers. I always wondered about other people reading habits. I tend to read multiple books at a time but that depends on the books involved. It has so much to do with the little time I have to read, sometimes I would just start a book and finish it within 24 hours, but most of the times I spend weeks on each book for I only read during quite short bus rides.

Guys omg it's like you're reading my mind :) I completely agree with all of you lol!

And Rikki you're so right, I mean people who only read tfios should really try looking for alaska, papertowns or something like that.. Someone can't be 'the best writer ever' just because he wrote one book you like.

Also, to everyone who asked: The mortal instruments is amazing! I'm in love with all the characters, especially Jace. U should really give it a try when u have time!

I can only read one book at a time, but my problem is I want to start a book as soon as I get it and I, most of the time, will start it! Right now I'm reading How to Love . It's pretty good!

For me it depends on how good the book is. If I'm totally captivated by it, I'll only read that one. If I'm bored, I'll end up starting a new one and going back to the first one later on. I'm currently reading Skulduggery Pleasant, cos one of my friends kept pestering me to read it :P x

I also tend to read more than one at a time. Mainly because I just read when I have time, which doesnt happen often, and so whichever book I happen to have on me is the one I read. At the moment im re-reading Les Mis, house of night seriesby PC and Kristen Cast and Son of a Witch by gregory maguire. Major Wicked obsession.

I guess it depends on the books. Sometimes I don't get so involved from the beginning, therefore, I start to read another one. But then I go back reading them all.

I definitely only read one book at a time. I finished The Maze Runner this morning (absolutely LOVED it) and am about to start the sequel, The Scorch Trials.

I only read one book at a time unless it's for school, but at the moment I'm reading Divergent and then I'm going to read Son of Neptune which is part of the Heroes of Olympus series

The Maze Runner is really really good! So many twists, its fab! Just started Severed Heads, Broken Hearts

I just started Amelia Greys Fireside Dream, by Abby Clements, this morning. I'm on chapter 4 at the moment and it seems really good :) and a nice easy read :)

The curse worker trilogy by holly black, first books I've read by her, really good halfway through the 2nd one and I'm defiantly gonna be picking up some of her other books:)

Panic by Lauren Oliver! Hoping it's not too similar to The Hunger Games but so far so good!

Also Billy and Me by Giovanna Fletcher but I might save the rest for summer as I am the same in the sense that I only really ever read one book at a time unless for some reason I pick another one up and that just happened to Billy and Me... But I love it!

The only way I can read more than 1 book if they're completely different, for example at the minute I'm reading The Book Thief (which is amazing so far!! :D) and a physics book :) I do prefer reading only one book at a time but if anyone has tried reading a physics book before you sleep then they will know how much of a nightmare it is! It makes you question life even more than you normally find yourself when trying to sleep :P

I also agree that it's really annoying when people only read the books that are popular or if the film is about to come out so they keep up with all the hype, it really bothers me! I think you should read a book because you want to not because you feel you have to because everyone is talking about it :)

Of anyone has any books to suggest that would be great! Love getting recommendations from people :)

Definitely read one book at a time. I couldn't handle two.

I read two books last week that I would really recommend - Life After Life by Kate Atkinson (one girl's life is repeated over and over but slightly different each time) and The Shock of the Fall by Nathan Filer (about a boy with schizophrenia). They were both amazingly good!

I need Help! I'm gonna be in a car tomorrow for 4 1/2 hours and can't decide if I wanna get looking for Alaska or paper towns by John Green or if I should just finis reading The Book Theif... I've had The book thief since last summer and I just can't get myself to finish reading it. Any suggestions?

The Book Thief is really good, but if you're not getting into it and you're stuck in the car for such a long amount of time I'd go with one of John Green's books. :)

I'd finish the book thief to get it out of the way. It's a good book but nothing amazing. I think once max is introduced it slowly gets better

My profile says that I am reading Two Books but I'm actually reading 1. I'm reading Shaun Hutson Body Count. The other book has 2 books combined into 1. I've finished the First book but not the Second. Thats why it says that I am reading 2. I'd prefer to give the review for Grinny when I've finished it all.

Thanks guys!! I just bought looking for Alaska. I think I'll try to get through the book thief first but if I can't I'll have Looking for Alaska has a back up. :D

I'm currently reading Son of a Witch too! Huge Wicked fan over here! I have all 4 books but haven't read them yet.
