The Entrance to the base

Nico walked up to the entry to the base, she had explored all this last night and knew her was around pretty well. She pulled out a pair of sunglasses and pulled up her hood, to avoid being recognized, just in case anyone she knew was around. Along with the black hoodie she wore a black knee length skirt and black tights with black and red converse.

Joss walked onto the base wearing his usual black long sleeved shirt, black jacket, and jeans. His converse squeaked against the floor as he looked around at the new building. He wondered how many people signed up for this. The only reason he signed up for the Lightning Squad was because he needed to learn how to control his powers and maybe stop hurting people for once. Joss also wanted to put his powers to good use. He liked to help people. So far, there weren't very many people that he could see.

Nico heard the familiar footsteps coming towards the entryway. Damn, of all people...wait this is for heroes Her thoughts went wild, as she turned to look at her friend. She stayed in the shadows, not wanting him to know she was there, not needing to explain her powers,

Joss shoved his hands into his pockets and kept walking. Everything looked okay, so far. He wondered what else he would see there. He spun around, sweeping his eyes around everywhere they could go. It was kind of amazing.

"The inside looks better" Nico said from the shadows changing her voice so he couldn't recognize it.

Joss spun around and saw a figure in the shadows. He didn't recognize the voice of the other person. He tilted his head to the side in confusion. He took a step towards the figure. "Um.....hi?" He said. He ran a hand through his hair.

Nico stepped back, keeping him away from her. She didn't want to lose control and accidently hurt him, not when he was her closest friend. "Please stay there, its safer for you" She warned.

Joss immediately stopped. He was in a building full of people with superpowers. Anything could go wrong. He took his hands out of his pockets. "Okay." He he agreed. It was silent for a moment, before he asked, "Who are you, if you don't mind me asking?"

Nico opened her mouth to say her real name, but stopped where would she be then. "Sister Grimm" She told him after a few seconds of careful consideration. "Who are you?" She said, doing what she would normally, change the subject from herself onto him.

"Um...." He didn't know whether if he should use his identity name or his real name. He shrugged to himself. He decided that his real name was okay. "Joss." He replied. He=is thoughts went back to what she said a few minutes ago. "And why would be safer for me to stay away?"

"Just because" She replied simply, figuring it was safer to answer without going into details.

"Alright." He said. He didn't want to push the other person into telling him something she didn't want to. That could result badly.

"Why are you here?" She questioned.

"Same as everyone else, I guess." He said. "To help people."

Nico nodded, stepping out of the shadows the glasses blocking her pale blue eyes and the hoodie casting a shadow over her face. "It seems we have similar goals" She said.

Joss smiled at her. "That's good." He'd always liked helping people, even though he never really had a chance to before. All he seemed to be good at was hurting people. Well, it was time for a change. A good one.

Seeing her friend smile made Nico want to reveal her true identity to him, but wanting to protect him stopped her "What are your powers?" She inquired, curiously.

He shifted uncomfortably from foot to foot. He didn't like talking about his powers, but he might as well tell her. "My main powers are teleknesis and invisibility." He said quickly, not mentioning the other two.

Nico nodded, she took a deep breath calming herself before using her over powers and levitating a few feet above him. She didn't normally show people her powers, but due to him being her friend, Nico trusted him, besides most of her other abilities were still secret.

Joss's eyes widened. "Cool." He said simply. And it was. He's never seen someone else other than himself use powers before.
