M. Hello everyone,

I'm new to this group but was introduced by my wife who joined a while back. I've been sort of a lurker for a while now just seeing what kinds of things you all like to read and I have a lot in common with you. As such, I've joined myself and wanted the chance to share the book I wrote with all of you as well. I contacted Budd and he was kind enough to steer me here so I could let everyone know about it.

The book is called, 'The Orb of Chaos'. It is a PG-13 fantasy novel that is roughly 150k words long and it starts off with a couple of guys (Sol and Oather) who are simply trying to find their way in the world. After a lot of 'get rich quick' schemes not panning out for them they decide to try their luck in the ancient ruins that lie under their city of Tyric Nor.

The ruins have been there for millenia and are full of dangerous monsters and traps, but are also rumored to house vast treasures. As they prepare they run into an old 'friend' of Sol's named Serieve who goes with them. After a few bad run ins with the creatures that live in the ruins they get swept into a portal that takes them to another realm. This realm is ruled by a terrible demon that has managed to put together the pieces of an evil artifact, The Orb of Chaos, that will give him the power to destroy the human realms. It's up to Sol and Oather (and the others they meet along the way) to stop the demonic king before he can use the artifact to destroy their home.

The book is a fast paced adventure with a full cast of colorful characters that you quickly grow to love like old friends. It takes readers on a fantastic adventure before it neatly ties up everything at the end. It is rated PG-13 for some violence (nothing too graphic).
