Michelle Montiel | 23 comments Imagine if the moon were coming closer to earth each day? The book The Dead and the Gone by Susan Beth Pfeffer is a really good and interesting book to read. I would recommend this book to both genders either 12 or older. One of my favorite quotes from the author is “Just in case the world ends tomorrow," she said. "We might as well enjoy today.” The book also is part of a series of three more books which are: Life as we knew it, The shade of the moon, and This world we live in. One award the author won was the Dorothy Canfield Fisher Children's Book Award. Lastly my favorite quote from the book is when it says “Don't stop believing in miracles.”
