Class of 2014 discussion

"'Another winter here and I'm dead anyway.'" Before my current book, I had read a book called Boot Camp by Todd Strasser. I really enjoyed reading this book because of it's details on the main character's feelings; I was able to feel what the main character felt and thought. This book can be compared to the book Holes. Similar to Boot Camp, Holes is also about a camp where the main character is sent to to do hard labor and is also written to show the character's feelings and thoughts. Some other books written by Strasser are Give a Boy a Gun and Can't Get there from Here. I would recommend this book to people from the ages 12 and over because younger children might not understand the events that occur and might get confused during the twists throughout the story.
