Goodreads Developers discussion

For the last two days or so, we've been unable to get API calls to work. We get a 503 result (Server Unavailable) when making a JSON call. When posted in browser, the same call says "Goodreads is over capacity. You can never have too many books, but Goodreads can sometimes have too many visitors. Don't worry! We are working to increase our capacity."

The API has worked perfectly for us for years, so is it undergoing maintenance?

I have also been experiencing this for the past few days, trying to call https://www.goodreads.com/book/review...

The call that's failing is review_counts.json?key=...&isbns=...

We had an issue with that feature, but it should be working since yesterday.
Please, let me know if you still experience any malfunctioning.
