I read Sorcerer to the Crown - Zen Cho
- Where do you plan on doing most of your reading?
As it is, in fact, Winter here in Australia, it was very much indoors, often in bed under many blankets. Sometimes on the train on my way to & from university.
- What do summers usually look like for you?
In the peak of summer, air-conditioners are my life savers. Thankfully at least in Melbourne we don't get too much humidity along with our heat because I would be dead by now haha.
- Do you typically read different books during the different seasons?
I don't think so? I probably read more books during Summer though, but that would be because I have more time because it's holidays.
Progress Post:
- What are you reading this week? The Royal We
- Where do you plan on doing most of your reading? In bed. I just moved Wednesday and I think I'm going to read outside alot more now that I'm in a house.
- What do summers usually look like for you?
Pretty much the same as the rest of the year, just hotter. I knit alot during the summer- where I used to live had a county fair in the summer so I was always working on something for that.
- Do you typically read different books during the different seasons?
My book club always read a thick classic novel in the summer, so there is that. Otherwise, not. Although I will say amongst the stress and exhausting of moving multiple states away, this book had been such a great get away and relaxation.

The art of hearing heartbeats by Jan-Philipp Sendker
Where do you plan on doing most of your reading?
It's been a lovely sunny week, so I've been able to read outdoors a lot more than usual. Happy days.
What do summers usually look like for you?
Bright and occasionally sunny, but mainly less rainy. Irish people have pretty low standards for what we consider summer!
Do you typically read different books during the different seasons?
I don't think so, but maybe I should. Hmmm...

Where do you plan on doing most of your reading
In my bed right before I fall asleep or traveling on a plane.
What do summers usually look like for you?
They are super hot here in Phoenix, so I spend most of the time indoors!
Do you typically read different books during the different seasons?
I do not. I read all the things all the times.

The Little Giant of Aberdeen County
-Where do you plan on doing most of your reading?
Home
- What do summers usually look like for you?
Lots of weekend travels when I am not getting company. Rarely take vacation during this time except for long weekends.
- Do you typically read different books during the different seasons?
Not really. My book club picks at least one "breezy" book to read for when others are on vacation.
The lists came out a little later this year (or I didn't catch them right away) but if you're a jumper and are still looking for a book for this week then
the suggestions have been updated for 2016!

It took me a long time to settle on one book since I had quite a few that I wanted to try. I managed to shuffle them around and fit in The Husband's Secret, which was great since it was one of the books I most wanted to read this year after reading two of her books last year. I found it strange how much variety there was on what qualifies as a beach reading list.
Where do you plan on doing most of your reading?
In my room, where I always do my reading.
What do summers usually look like for you?
By now, working full-time. Usually, I have 2 weeks off work and I spend one of those on vacation somewhere with family. Other than that, I'm at work 8:30 - 4:30 every day, so I only have time to read in the evenings.
Do you typically read different books during the different seasons?
Not really, I just read whatever I feel like.

- Where do you plan on doing most of your reading?
Mostly in my bed, or I'm sitting in a chair or on the couch, but when the weather is nice I'm reading either on our balcony or in our garden.
- What do summers usually look like for you?
Since I'm not in school anymore I don't have that much free time in summer, but I always have 2 to 3 weeks off. I'm either going to do the things I'm always doing like reading, doing fitness, walking our dog or stuff I normally don't have time for. And sometimes I'm driving away, this summer I'll be going to a city in Germany for a few days.
- Do you typically read different books during the different seasons?
In summer I tend to be more in the mood for summery reads and near Christmas I like to read one or two christmassy books, but otherwise it doesn't matter which season it is.

We Were Liars
Where do you plan on doing most of your reading?
I read this in the evenings while sitting on the balcony of my hotel room over the week I was away.
What do summers usually look like for you?
As I live in England, they can very greatly. One day it can be lovely and hot and sunny and then next it can be grey and cloudy and raining. So it's usually just when I go on holiday that I get consistent sun.
Do you typically read different books during the different seasons?
No, not really. I just read whatever I'm in the mood for.

- Where do you plan on doing most of your reading? Mostly at night before bed or on the deck if the weather is nice.
- What do summers usually look like for you? Lots of time for reading! Can't wait.
- Do you typically read different books during the different seasons? Not usually. I've been trying to get reduce my TBR pile this year and will continue to do so - though the suggestions in this list are enticing!

Swim the Fly
- Where do you plan on doing most of your reading?
I read a lot on the train while commuting to work, but also on the couch and in bed. Sometimes I read in the kitchen while my husband prepares dinner.
- What do summers usually look like for you?
There is no usual summer for me. Sometimes I take a few weeks off, sometimes I don't. There are hot spells, but also a lot of rain, lightening, bonechilling coldness and murky skies without sunrays. I love waking up in an already bright room with the birds chirping like mad at each other. And then being able to go barefooted into the kitchen to prepare a coffee, a smoothie and a sandwich for my day at work.
- Do you typically read different books during the different seasons?
No. Except around Christmas time. In December I just love reading christmassy, romantic or funny stories about being snowed in or meeting with family, about being surprised by life. I don't know why. If you can recommend anything that is not overly soppy or overly tearful/inspiring, I'd be grateful

I take a trip or two and care for multiple gardens.
Do you typically read different books during the different seasons?
No, I jump genres on a regular basis. I suppose I do read what one could consider a beach read after a particularly intense book.

The Girls - I was able to choose an offer book from a selection at my local WH Smith, so I already had it on my bookshelf. Seeing it on a summer reading list gave me the opportunity to fit it to this challenge.

Same as the rest of the year ... On the train to and from work, and in bed at night.
What do summers usually look like for you?

I saw this on a summer reading list last year and thought it would be a good contemporary. I enjoyed it but thought the author was going to take it a different direction than she did.
In the summer, I like to read in a lawn chair on my back porch.
Travel and work will take up my summertime.
I think I read heavier books in the winter under a warm blanket.
