I'm actually in the middle of this one right now.

How do you find it so far? I'm 15% into this book and it's a little meh.

I'm sorry, I just can't get into this book. 35% in and there's still nothing going on. This had a strong start, but after it kinda felt into routine. Every day she tries to find more about (view spoiler)[the mysterious circumstances in which her parents died. (hide spoiler)]

I wish I could go on and read this with you, but it just bores me to tears every time I start reading this again.

Chapter two (view spoiler)[ so this is all happening really fast. I hate how her grandad is like "Come in Renee" "Sit down Renee" " Your clothes aren't appropriate Renee" It's her house and she's just lost her parent, leave the poor girl alone. (hide spoiler)]

Up to not including chapter 4 (view spoiler)[ So this is going really fast, what's up with the coins and cloth? that has to have something to do with her parent's death but I'm not really getting the connection. It's obvious she falls in love with Dante. Character's who are all 'mysterious' are way to cliché though. I am enjoying the school, back stories and deaths. Super interesting! Hope it doesn't focus on the romance to much. (hide spoiler)]

I think I've worked out part of the plot. In chapter eight Dante says (view spoiler)[ "you make me feel alive" and was acting all weird saying he 'feels more' around Renee. (hide spoiler)] My theory is (view spoiler)[ Dante died and has come back to life somehow and found this school that is for dead people, Latin is the language of the dead! That part is obvious I guess but are Dante and Renee soul mates or something? Like that's how he feels so alive all the time? (hide spoiler)] Just my thoughts...

Okay so my theory was right, for the most part. I just finished. (view spoiler)[ So Renee gave their soul to Dante but he loves her so much he just gave it back again... I'm not sure if that would work. Surely it would just end up getting lost or ruined in some way? I think that was mentioned at some point. I guess I will have to find out in the next book. I guess we can read it at our own speeds but keep something for discussion, say 3 chapters a day. I think we decided that too, didn't we? I can't seem to remember. Oof!

I mean I would have completely freaked if I found my parents like she did. Not too keen on grandad still but then hes from an older generation so he follows by all the rules and hes rich! Finished Book 1 (view spoiler)[ This book is so good. I love all the characters and how they all have their own backstory. I love Eleanor I think shes fantastic. When she was taken I remember how I felt the first time I read it and I remember being like please don't let her be dead! I mean she is but you know what I mean. I also liked the mystery side of it and how we were figuring out what happens at the same time as the characters and putting the pieces together. I loved the ending and how renee saved Dante. I cant remember how her grandfather reacts so im intrigued to see that in the next book. (hide spoiler)]
