Swan Song vs The Stand

Currently rereading Swan Song (first read it when it came out in, like, 1987) and loving it again. The big debate is this - which is a better book: Swan Song or The Stand. I have read both and see similarities, but they are 2 completely different types of novels. Thoughts and opinions?
Kind of like apples and oranges. There is no comparing these two books, they are both so well written and by great authors. While they are both about the end of civilization as we know it, the premises are different. I absolutely love both, and have read both many, many times.
Swan Song! I'm hoping a great director will make it into a movie.

I loved Swan Song! I don't see similarities at all to The Stand. Both really good books, but I read Swan Song twice and have never before read a book twice.
All of Robert McCAMMON books are excellent. The Matthew Corbet series is vey much worth reading.
