Jackie (jackiegirl02) | 4614 comments Categories:
A BOOK WITH MORE THAN 500 PAGES - Can be any book as long as it is over 500 pages.✔

A FORGOTTEN CLASSIC - This must be one of the old classics. (I.E. Pride and Prejudice, Emma, Sense and Sensibility or anything along those lines.)

A BOOK THAT BECAME A MOVIE - Again any book as long as it fits the description.

A BOOK PUBLISHED THIS YEAR - This needs to be a book that was first published this year.

A BOOK WITH A NUMBER IN THE TITLE - Again this one speaks for itself. It doesn't matter whether its an actual number or the word. (for example 1 or One.) However it has to be a number and I won't accept things such as second or first it has to be just a number.

A BOOK WRITTEN BY SOMEONE UNDER 30 - This one may take some research but as long as they're under 30 I will accept any book.

A BOOK WITH NON-HUMAN CHARACTERS - This can be anything from talking animals to aliens. As long as they're not human.

A FUNNY BOOK - as long as it is classed as Humour on Goodreads I'll accept.

A BOOK BY A FEMALE AUTHOR - Again I'll accept any book as long as its by a female author.✔

A BOOK WITH A MYSTERY - For a book to count it has to be classed as a Mystery on Goodreads. ✔

A BOOK WITH A ONE WORD TITLE - Any book will count as long as the title contains only one word.

A BOOK OF SHORT STORIES - I will accept either a book of novellas, prequels or short stories. ✔

FREE SQUARE - This is a wildcard of sorts. Any book will count but you must both read one book to fill this square. This means for this square to be completed you need to read two books. (1)

A BOOK SET ON A DIFFERENT CONTINENT - You need to tell me which continent when you post your review.

A BOOK OF NON-FICTION - as long as the book is classed as non-fiction on Goodreads, it'll count.

THE FIRST BOOK BY A FAVOURITE AUTHOR - For this one you need to read the first book one of your favourite author published.

A BOOK YOU HEARD ABOUT ONLINE - You need to post a link of what website you saw the book on online.

A BEST SELLING BOOK - As long as you can prove it. Any book will count. (This will take some research.)

A BOOK BASED ON A TRUE STORY - Any book that is either a true story or based on one will count. ✔

A BOOK AT THE BOTTOM OF YOUR TBR PILE - This has to be one that you've been meaning to read for a while.

A BOOK THAT YOUR FRIEND LOVES - This can either be a Goodreads friend or any other type of friend.

A BOOK THAT SCARES YOU - Has to be classed as horror to count.✔

A BOOK THAT IS MORE THAN 10 YEARS OLD - Any book published in 2004 or before. ✔

THE SECOND BOOK IN A SERIES - Any book that is second in a series or trilogy will count.

A BOOK WITH A BLUE COVER - as long as one of the editions of the book has a blue cover, it'll count.

Jackie (jackiegirl02) | 4614 comments Ok, doing For the Record by Charlotte Huang as a book written by a female author. Should be done tonight. Also, going to use The Assassin's Blade for a book of short stories.

message 19: by Jackie (last edited Nov 08, 2015 08:59AM) (new)

Jackie (jackiegirl02) | 4614 comments Okay, I've just posted my review. I used it for female author, but it is also published this year if you would like me to change it as most of my books are by female authors anyway so I can easily fit in that category.

Also, I posted all the categories in post 2 so we can keep track.:)

message 20: by Lindsay (new)

Lindsay King | 26 comments That sounds good, no need to change it :)

message 21: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (jackiegirl02) | 4614 comments I'll update our post to reflect the new category you've finished in a bit.☺️

Wow, that sounds horrible. Is it at least a bit warm? What's the temperature like?

I'm in North Carolina for college right now and it's crazy with final exams coming up and registration for next semester classes tomorrow. Plus, I've got two papers to write and a presentation to prepare. The weather is also extremely crazy! Yesterday it was between 7-14 C (46-56 F) and today its between 10-17 C (50-64 F). It's absolutely nuts!

message 24: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (jackiegirl02) | 4614 comments I've updated our post to reflect your book. I'm really busy at the moment, but I hope to finish Assassin's Blade (book of short stories/novellas) this weekend after I've done my presentation, registered, and written my papers. I'm sorry for the lack of reading but school's been extremely hectic. I should be able to read more after this and during Thanksgiving.

message 25: by Lindsay (new)

Lindsay King | 26 comments Thanks for updating our post. Don't worry, schools more important :)
It's not warm unfortunately, I live on a wee island up in the north west of Scotland, lovely in the summer but bleak in winter

message 26: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (jackiegirl02) | 4614 comments Awe, that stinks. I try and enjoy the warm weather now as I know it will get down to below 0 C in late November/December. I'm not a huge fan of the cold by any stretch of the imagination so anything below -3 C is outrageous to me. Sadly, I have a feeling it will be a cold, harsh winter like last year which could mean temperatures as low as -20 C!:(

message 27: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (jackiegirl02) | 4614 comments Hey, I'm writing my review of Assassin's Blade and Throne of Glass right now. I can also use The Secret of the Old Clock for a mystery book or a book published before 2004 (originally published 1930) which do you prefer? Lastly, I have The Boy Most Likely To but am unsure where to put it yet.

It got down to 3 C on Sunday—yesterday and is getting colder! :(

message 28: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (jackiegirl02) | 4614 comments Okay, I've edited our post to reflect our updates. Let me know if anything is missing. I used the Nancy Drew book for a book older than ten years and I will use The Boy Most Likely To for a book second in series and swap Crown of Midnight and For the Record because Crown of Midnight was written by a female author and For the Record was published this year. I'm going to submit my review of Throne of Glass and The Assassin's blade as well. I've still got to check if Sarah J. Maas is under 30 or was when she wrote Throne of Glass. I will use The Kiss of Deception for the Free Square.
