Enjoyed it. It basically covers the clash between Isaac Newton as Master of the Royal Mint, and the counterfeiter, William Chaloner
The book starts with a biography of Newton (but written so you don't need to understand maths to follow it. Then there's a biographer of Chaloner, with less detail because less was really known about him. Both biographies are fascinating in their way, especially Chaloner. Then there is a section which basically explains what was happening to money at the time and why it was so easy for coin, followed by the clash between the two men which led to Chaloner's death at the gallows.
Fascinating book, an interesting look at the period. One of those books which is probably cheaper in paperback than on Kindle, but I picked mine up at the village hall book exchange to borrow free ;-)
