no not necessary true story. I've watched a movie where he summoned the spirits of i think 5 of the most evil serial killers in one town. i forgot the name of the movie. thanks a lot.

Fiction - Kiling the Shadows, Kisscut, Kiss the Girls and Body Rides.
A couple of Dean Koontz serial killer ones are good as well.

American Psycho by Bret Easton Ellis
The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson
Rusty Nail by JA Konrath
Broken Monsters by Lauren Beukes
Perfume: The Story of a Murderer by Patrick Suskind
Zombie by Joyce Carol Oates
White Knuckle by Eric Red
Gory, harsh, brutal and around before Red Dragon:
Act of Love by Joe Lansdale
I would also like to recommend Robert Bloch as the creepy uncle and godfather of the serial killer subgenre. His most famous creation is, of course, Psycho, but many of his other works deal with serial killers as well, for example Night of the Ripper or American Gothic.

I've seen the movie American Psycho and really enjoyed it. And I've looked at the book but never read it. Is it a page turner or slow?
