I enjoyed the first book but the 2nd took all the aspects of the first book that I didn't like and magnified them.

I'm hoping book #3 will be better so that I can continue the series. If not, I'll be calling it quits.

I hate when that happens. It's great of you to give it another go... I hope it works out for you. It stinks to have to quit a series, but if reading it isn't enjoyable, it's the only thing that makes sense.

Yeah, but I learned a long time ago that its no good spending good reading time on a series I'm not enjoying. There are so many truly excellent books out there that I could be reading instead.
