Mary Carolyn (ivorybow) | 28 comments I enjoy fiction novels of about plagues with modern or scifi settings and I am having a hard time finding many. I have read some good ones over the years and I loved Blood Music probably the most in that genre. Any suggestions will be most welcome. I am not too interested in zombies. Thank you all so much...I always get fabulous recommendations when I ask about books.

Dan | 381 comments A Journal of the Plague Year by Daniel Defoe an oldie, but goodie; surprisingly horrific too
The Diary Of Samuel Pepys by Samuel Pepys for a more contemporary view of the same plague

Yes. But I really enjoyed it. If you want science fiction with plague, try Margaret Atwood's MaddAddam trilogy starting with Oryx & Crake.
