Also, I updated earlier with a book that fits the goal of alternate history, yet I noticed it is still open, so just wanted to check that it fits?
We got a ruling that high fantasy doesn't actually class as alternative history. For it to work as alternative history, it has to be actual, real-life history but written differently i.e. what happened if JFK wasn't shot, what happens if Hitler wins the war and the Germans are victorious in Europe - that kind of thing. Does that make sense?But your book is all stored up and it is sure to fit another goal.

The mods said that series doesn't count as alternate history....it's an alternate universe. Alternate history would be if Hitler had one or JFK hadn't been shot...things to that effect.

Yes there are various witches in the town, and the Salem witches are mentioned. The MC is a sorceress...she has a book of spells, and practices magic....so she is kind of a witch too
