10.2 - Art Appreciation
PLEASE NOTE:
After the cover for
was approved in post 31, someone changed the cover on the book. The cover that was originally approved included a framed photo - the current cover for this edition now does NOT include a frame on the photo. The approved cover has been updated in post 2.
If you read the edition with the framed photo (regardless of the change made on GR), please be sure to link to the proper cover if you post this book for this task.

The task requires a "framed" picture or painting on the cover and there's no frame visible, so this won't work.
It's a good book, though, so I hope you find somewhere else to put it.

Me too - surely in an art-themed challenge...

The Goldfinch works for 5.3. It's currently on page 1 of the list.

Sorry, no. It's not a framed photo or painting, since the body shows that the frame is just being held around his face.

Yes, the partials on the sides are enough to tell that they are framed photos.

simple is fine. It's a picture in a frame.

yes, it's a 10 point task."
Great, thanks! Wanted to read it for Fall, but I won't have time, so was looking for a spot for it.

For example, would this work?

Or does the photograph have to be framed as well?
Thank you

"framed" modifies both photograph and painting.

"framed" modifies both photograph and painting.

So this book would NOT work?

No frame around the picture unless you count the white edges as a frame.

A frame is something that is added to a picture, not part of the picture itself (like the edges of a photo)

yes"
So given your new ruling in post #46, I am confused how this one got approved. (Not looking to make trouble, but trying to understand.)

Read a book that has a framed painting or framed photograph on the cover. A partial framed painting or photograph is okay, but there must be enough showing to tell that this is what it is. Empty frames cannot be used.
REQUIRED: Include the cover in your post.
