What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

Over at http://blog.enotes.com/2013/02/14/bli... there's a post about a thing called "blind date with a book" and there's one book that's described as a YA coming of age story that you should read if you like dark comedy and it's about an epic journey and features halucinations. If anyone as any idea what the book could be please let me know.
