Susanna - Censored by GoodReads (susannag) | 2167 comments So, what would everyone like to read for May?

Two nominations to a person.

message 3: by Gretchen (new)

Gretchen (eab2012) I nominate The Queen of Subtleties: A Novel of Anne Boleyn and The Concubine. May seems like a good month to read a book about Anne Boleyn.

I probably will, even if it doesn't win the poll, lol ;)

message 6: by Helene (last edited Apr 02, 2014 09:21AM) (new)

Helene Harrison (tudorblogger) I've just finished reading The Shadow Prince, about the life of Richard Duke of York and the possibility of him being Perkin Warbeck, who rebelled under Henry VII (most of the book is about the rebellion), but it's a really great read, so I'd like to nominate that.

My second nomination would be The Queen's Promise about the life of Anne Boleyn.

Jo March | 22 comments Speaking of Perkin Warbeck, I'll nominate The Perfect Prince The Mystery of Perkin Warbeck and His Quest for the Throne of England by Ann Wroe

I've read Sisters to the King by Maria Perry . Great book!

message 9: by Carolina (new)

Carolina Casas | 69 comments I nominate The Boleyn Women The Tudor Femmes Fatales Who Changed English History by Elizabeth Norton and Cecily Neville Mother of Kings by Amy Licence .
Both great authors and the last one is coming this month on the 28.

message 10: by Gail (new)

Gail (fictionbookwurm) I just got this book and want to nominate it: Three Maids for a Crown by Mary Ellen Chase

Susanna - Censored by GoodReads (susannag) | 2167 comments I'm going to nominate The Boleyn King and The Autobiography of Henry VIII: With Notes by His Fool, Will Somers.

I'll leave this open until early this evening my time, and then start a poll, so if y'all have any other ideas, nominate away!

message 12: by Lizzie (new)

Lizzie Bissett (lizziebissett) | 1 comments I nominate "The Agincourt Bride" by Joanna Hickson

Susanna - Censored by GoodReads (susannag) | 2167 comments Isn't that set in the early 1400s?

Susanna - Censored by GoodReads (susannag) | 2167 comments Once again, a tie at the top! I'll run a run-off poll for the two at the top, The Sisters of Henry VIII: The Tumultuous Lives of Margaret of Scotland and Mary of France, by Maria Perry, and Dissolution, by C.J. Sansom.

Susanna - Censored by GoodReads (susannag) | 2167 comments The runoff poll is here: https://www.goodreads.com/poll/show/1... , or on the front page of the group.

Susanna - Censored by GoodReads (susannag) | 2167 comments And the winner, narrowly: Dissolution, by C.J. Sansom.
