Thomas Wictor (Bradati) | 2 comments I'm trying to import my Website blog to the Goodreads blog.

The RSS feed for my Website is this:

http://feeds.feedburner.com/thomaswictor

My Goodreads blog isn't importing the latest posts.

https://www.goodreads.com/author/show...

Is there a delay, or have I screwed it up somehow?

rivka Looks like it's working ok. Author blog posts do import automatically, but not immediately. Goodreads checks thousands of author blogs for updates, and the process (checking one at a time) takes about a day. So it can be a day or two before new blog posts import.

Don't talk to me about blogging. Been 3 hours on BLOGGER trying to progress from Preview .... grrrr

Thanks. I wasn't sure, since I had to change the feed.

Troy Jackson | 26 comments Yeah, usually takes a day or two. Mine imports perfectly. Great useful tool by Goodreads!

I feel your pain. Blogger sometimes drives me mad.

A lot of glitches seem to stem from the junk that MS Word generates - even Blogger admits this is a problem, apparently.

Thx Mike.

Addie Greene | 6 comments I just started a blog on 50 Books to Read Before You Die. The titles came from the Facebook page of my publisher, Fuze Publishing, and now appear on a site called list.challenges.com. Hopefully, all you author/ readers will comment. In my first blog I complained about the omissions. In my next blog I'll talk about the books I think don't belong on the list.

Yes, try to use a plain text editor. It solves a lot of problems. I used TextEdit (included free with Macs), which worked well. Now I use Storyist (Mac, iOS), since I write my novels in it. Scrivener is a Windows alternative, and perhaps BBEdit. You could also try saving the Word file to RTF, but I can't swear that will work.

Mike Robbins (mikerobbins) | 62 comments The RTF route does more or less work - I put a new post up tonight without too many problems - but you do still have to check absolutely everything. Blogger is also unable to wrap picture captions, for some reason. I haven't found a solution to that!
