Buddy read for the final book in the Partials trilogy starts Fri. April 4th! Everyone is welcome to join!

There are no set chapters per day, we just read at our own paces and start each post with how far along you are, i.e., Chapter #, %, using spoilers where needed. Have fun!

I was debating on whether or not I should reread Fragments. Since there's a reminder I'll go ahead and try it without the reread first!

My brain just doesn't retain the smaller details, especially if it's been over 6 months. I hate that! :)

Well dang it!! I just went back and reread the buddy read thread of Fragments. I barely remember any of it. What??! My brain retains almost nothing lately. I don't want to miss anything so I am going to reread the series first. I hope to catch up to you guys quickly and marathon read. ;-P

Took me a few minutes, but I think I remember Fragments well enough to go ahead. I'm going to TRY to read this one really slow, because I really don't want this series to end!

I'm zooming through Partials so I'll be caught up to you soon! And glad I'm rereading. Parts I didn't fully understand are much clearer now! This is one of those series where I don't want to miss a thing! ;)

I'm the same!! I think I need to implement a policy of only reading series when all the books are out and then reading them straight through. (I've said that a million times and never follow through with it)

I'm seriously behind in here. I didn't even read one page last night and barely anything these past few days. Life and sleep keep getting in the way. Boo! I will catch up on my vacation next week. One week of nothing but beach and books!

I'm almost done with Partials. I figure I have a week off next week and I plan to read lots and lots of books. I'm sure I'll be reading Ruins by mid week. I have a beta read I need to get read next week sometime. You too, Jenny. Or have you read it already?

Awesome! I figure that will be perfect for the plane ride and airport waits. Plus I want to reread book 1 first on that one too before starting the beta read.

Okay, I have to finish my beta read for Rysa, then I will jump back into this book!! Can't wait!!!!

I have to jump back and in and just say (view spoiler)[that final battle between Heron and Kira's dad was epic. I hated that she died but also felt like it was appropriate. And Samm and Kira - such a perfect romance for the whole series, not overdone at all but very honest. I didn't feel badly for Marcus at all, because he didn't seem to be overly destroyed over it. He knew. And there at the end with the other girl (can't remember her name), it seemed natural. (hide spoiler)]

I'm interested to hear what David and Jenny thought of it. I was on pins and needles when Wells hadn't resolved anything and there were only >100 pages left! That tension was fabulous. Smart author there.

Finished! I really loved the last 100 pages although I think before that some aspects dragged on a little too much. But I agree that the ending was pretty epic and Jen I agree that (view spoiler)[ the Heron/Armin fight was INCREDIBLE! (hide spoiler)] On the romance (gripe, gripe, gripe) (view spoiler)[I thought the whole love triangle thing was really forced with Kira doing who knows what with Marcus because "she thought she'd never see Samm again". Just seemed a way to make something out of nothing because I agree with you, Jen, that it was always going to be Samm. (hide spoiler)] And on my FAVORITE character (view spoiler)[ Marcus! He is freaking hilarious regardless of whether Kira picked him. I think Calix might be a better fit for him anyway :) (hide spoiler)]
