does anyone of you guys know ANY book like a movie 'scream'? Groovy feel of 80s/90s, a lot of teenagers and a retarded maniac who is killing them. This is what I am looking for.

To tell the truth, I don't care if the maniac is retarded or not, like at all. So if you want to recommend me something with pretty un-retarded killer then it would be just fine.

I would recommend Richard Laymon - just about any of his books will do but I would start with 'Funland'. Avoid 'Alarums' by him until you are acquainted with his work. 'Darkness Tell Us', 'The Woods are Dark' and 'Blood Games' by Laymon should hit the spot.
