Jenne (jennetheinstigator) | 7439 comments I've got the threads updated with free passes (post 1). If your team was finished yesterday and I didn't post your free pass, let me know and I'll get it added :)

message 54: by ❀Tea❀ (new)

❀Tea❀ (ttea) | 527 comments Did Serial Killers (5) earned free pass?

message 55: by Jenne (new)

Jenne (jennetheinstigator) | 7439 comments Yep, I'll get it added :)

message 56: by Belinda (new)

Belinda | 461 comments Jenne, JenniferJ has had to pull out of our team (double O'seven). Is there any back up players?

message 57: by Jenne (new)

Jenne (jennetheinstigator) | 7439 comments No but I'll see about getting y'all one.

message 58: by Belinda (new)

Belinda | 461 comments Thanks :)

message 59: by Susan A (new)

Susan A | 2091 comments How do you handle differences in page counts? For example Unthinkable GR lists 4 editions with page counts 103 ebook, 310 ebook, 205 ebook, and 308 (paperback)

message 60: by Jenne (new)

Jenne (jennetheinstigator) | 7439 comments It's crazy how some of them vary like that. Just be sure if you're reading one like that you link the edition that states what you need in your review. The word count is the same so if one format states over 150 I'm cool with it.

Great. THanks!

Teresa (teresab78) | 378 comments Do the new additions need to have their books read by the end of Friday, before we can roll, as well or do they get a pass this week for starting late?

message 63: by Jenne (new)

Jenne (jennetheinstigator) | 7439 comments Any new players were more than welcome to get their book in this week but if any of them haven't they can start officially tomorrow.

message 64: by Teresa (new)

Teresa (teresab78) | 378 comments So, if they declared a book this week, it should be read by the deadline, if they didn't then starting tomorrow is ok...

message 65: by Jenne (new)

Jenne (jennetheinstigator) | 7439 comments If they declared a book this week and change their mind about being able to have it done on time I'm ok with it. They all didn't get the full time frame to read. So any new players that post they're changing their mind and starting tomorrow I'm ok with the team going ahead and rolling.

message 66: by Teresa (new)

Teresa (teresab78) | 378 comments Ok Thanks!

message 67: by Gianna (new)

Gianna I have a question about a minor situation that came up. I had posted yesterday (in the short amount of free time that I had) a small, quick review of the book I read for last week's roll. So JoAnne did the roll last night. But this morning I elaborated more on my review. Does yesterday's review count?

message 68: by Jenne (new)

Jenne (jennetheinstigator) | 7439 comments Yes, that's perfectly fine.

message 69: by Gianna (new)

Gianna Thanks! I just wanted to be sure.

Amy ~Lover of Books~ | 143 comments Can we read more than one book from the same series during this whole thing? Or you don't allow that?

message 71: by Jenne (new)

Jenne (jennetheinstigator) | 7439 comments You sure can :)

Sheila (sheilaj) Jenne I am wanting pre-approval for this book as a series 4 book because it shows as a # 10

Reckless Abandon (Stone Barrington, #10 Holly Barker #4) by Stuart Woods Reckless Abandon by Stuart Woods (Holly Barker #4)

** This is a crossover between 2 of Stuart Woods series - Stone Barrington #10, Holly Barker #4 as shown in metadata below book description.

❀Tea❀ (ttea) | 527 comments Jenne, can this pass as stand-alone? Gentle Warrior by Julie Garwood
It does have some kind of series written, but I'm not sure if that's really series or just publisher created line.
(On author's page that series doesn't exist and book is treated as stand-alone. I think. ☺)

message 75: by Jenne (new)

Jenne (jennetheinstigator) | 7439 comments Both of y'all are good :)

message 76: by ❀Tea❀ (new)

❀Tea❀ (ttea) | 527 comments Thanks. ☺

message 77: by ❀Tea❀ (new)

❀Tea❀ (ttea) | 527 comments Me again :P
What about reading non-English books?

message 78: by Jenne (new)

Jenne (jennetheinstigator) | 7439 comments It's fine so long as the # of the book matches. If you're going with the alternate especially title letter just be sure the edition you link matches the alternate criteria.

It's stand-alone. This one Plameni inkvizitori. Should I link to wiki since there is no English translations of it when posting review?

Thank you!!!

Jenne (jennetheinstigator) | 7439 comments You're good, It looks like a standalone to me. You're brave reading one that long lol!

Should I mention it has really tiny letters?! :P Last time it was published, publisher split it up in 4 books.
But it's one of my favorites, so it's not a problem. And it's reread so it's going to be faster.

Amy ~Lover of Books~ | 143 comments Just out if curiosity, does arcs count for this?

message 83: by Jenne (new)

Jenne (jennetheinstigator) | 7439 comments Yeah you can use arcs :)

message 84: by Teresa (new)

Teresa (teresab78) | 378 comments would A Matter of Time, Vol. 2 count as a 2 or a 3 (or even a 4)?

message 85: by Jenne (new)

Jenne (jennetheinstigator) | 7439 comments I'm gonna say 3 or 4 since it's book 3 &4.

message 86: by Teresa (new)

Teresa (teresab78) | 378 comments Thanks!

message 87: by Teresa (new)

Teresa (teresab78) | 378 comments We are still waiting on one player's review. Do we have to roll by midnight or do we just need the players review in by midnight? Also, when do we need to notify you that we are using our free pass? before time runs out or is after midnight ok?

message 88: by Jenne (new)

Jenne (jennetheinstigator) | 7439 comments Go ahead and use the pass, just put free pass in lieu of a review for the missing one. If you want to go ahead and use it since it's already 11. In the event the review pops up in the next hour you can have it back since it's so late.

Belinda | 461 comments Book 2 of the age of dawning series for me this week: Midnight (Dark Age Dawning, #2) by Ellen Connor

message 91: by Jenne (new)

Jenne (jennetheinstigator) | 7439 comments Is there anyone interested in being a fill in player for SSS for two rolls? You'd have the current roll to read which has to be done by this Thursday then the Thursday roll that's due on Sunday.

message 92: by Mandy (new)

Mandy Sickle (thereadingdiaries) | 1343 comments I can do it Jenne =D

message 94: by Jenne (new)

Jenne (jennetheinstigator) | 7439 comments All teams in post 4 of their thread have the winning alternates under the spoiler tag. They've been randomly selected and I'll post the list here too. So for any newbies to win you have to roll past 75, you can read the # you'd be on i.e. land on 89 you can read and 8th or a 9th or the new alternate.

Team 2 could win on the next roll provided they roll an 11 or 12.

message 95: by Christina T (new)

Christina T (crysteena73) | 1040 comments Just curious, once one of the teams win are the rest of the teams going to finish out their game boards or are we going to end the game right where we all landed?

message 96: by Jenne (new)

Jenne (jennetheinstigator) | 7439 comments Once a team wins it's over.

message 97: by Christina T (new)

Christina T (crysteena73) | 1040 comments That's what I thought you'd say Jenne. I tend to have a lil' bit of OCD and the idea of leaving my game board unfinished kind of weirds me out LOL.

message 98: by Jenne (new)

Jenne (jennetheinstigator) | 7439 comments And the race is on! We have several teams that can win after today's roll. There's still a couple that haven't rolled also that have the potential for a winning roll. The first team to finish will be our winners!

message 99: by Jenne (new)

Jenne (jennetheinstigator) | 7439 comments So far teams 11, 6, 2, 8 can win this week.
Team 9 is yet to roll but they could win with the right roll too.
