2025 Reading Challenge discussion

Our Welcome Committee is looking for a new member or two, so we wanted to open it up to the group to see if anyone was interested in joining.

Requirements: Active members--no long term commitment needed; however, notice must be provided if you plan to drop out
Responsibilities: Work with other committee members to send out welcome messages to new members and monitor the Introductions thread

Please please consider me for this position. I am a stay at home mom and now our children are older so I have much time. I think I will be good at it because I have a true passion for books and reading. I also have an open mind and am always looking for a different author or type of book to read. I am the librarian of our church.
I am also very experienced in customer service. It is very important to treat others how you would like to be treated. I worked 15 years at the United States Postal Service training employees on customer service. All of my jobs have been about customer. I know the people are not customers but really to make someone feel welcome they will return happy.

My name is DOminique and I live in Montreal. L'm 38 years old I work as a secreatry, I have a good 20 year experience in customer service, both in the public, phone and internet. I am a big book lover, been that way since I was 5. Not only would I like to be part of the welcome comittee but also make friends in the process. What I like about this group is the diversity in the book challenge, it opens the mind to other genre of books that people tend to be afraid to try.
