I have found the book I want to read for task #5 : The letters in the title can spell A-M-O-R-E :-)
If I like that book, then I plan to read book two to meet task #1 with a winter scene on the cover:

Don't think the Elvis task was a coincidence- I'm always looking out for the dean fans lol :D

I am not sure how many books I have read or listened to since reading "Josie and Jack", 30 to 50, but I was still thinking about that book the other day!! Really want to read more of Kelly Braffets work!! I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!!

You're welcome, Danell! Glad you like it :)

Can't believe the winter holidays are almost here-I really need to do more shopping (and get to the bookstore :)

Glad you're joining us, Josh! :D

Thanks for the update, Christine! :D

Now I am in the process of deciding what to read next. Other than the DMV's driving book... Trying for my license. I am thinking about The Green Mile. It fits the read a friend's favorite book... It is on Dustin's awesome list! lol Well the separate parts are. lol

Thanks for the update, Josh! The green mile is also on Danell's list -I'm hoping to read it for the challenge too-loved the film. Actually I'm hoping to read a book from everyone's favorite/awesome list if I have time :)
Good luck with your license! :D

Happy Christmas! I am nearly finished with my first book toward the challenge: Learning to Swim, this one has the letters A-M-O-R-E in the title.

Thanks for the update, Dustin! :D

Wishing you all good health & happiness in the new year (and some great books too :)

Yes! Yes! Much Good! I use a lot of audiobooks and enjoyed Jim Dale as a narrator. One of these days I should re-read the Harry Potter Series :-)

The Winter 2015/2016 Reading Challenge will start December 3rd and end February 29th, 2016.
Rules of the challenge:
Read 3 books (or more)
Complete 3 tasks (or more)
Re-reads are ok
Books can be any genre
This winter, complete 3 (or more) of the following tasks:
1. Winter officially begins on December 21st. So this winter:
READ A BOOK THAT DEPICTS A WINTER SCENE ON ITS COVER
2. Tis the season, so goodbye sun and hello long, dark nights. So this winter:
READ A BOOK WITH THE WORD DARK/DARKER/DARKEST OR DARKNESS IN THE TITLE
3. January is National Stalking Awareness Month. So this winter:
READ A BOOK THAT DEALS WITH STALKING
4. January 8th is Elvis Presley's birthday. So this winter:
READ A BOOK THAT FEATURES A CHARACTER NAMED ELVIS
OR
READ A BOOK THAT TAKES PLACE (AT LEAST IN PART) IN TENNESSEE
5. "When the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie, it's amore." It's Valentine's Day on February 14th. So this winter:
READ A BOOK WITH THE LETTERS A-M-O-R-E IN THE TITLE (THESE LETTERS DO NOT HAVE TO BE IN ORDER)
6. It's also Singles Appreciation Day on February 14th. So this winter:
READ A BOOK IN WHICH THE MAIN CHARACTER IS SINGLE
7. Random Task-This task counts towards the challenge but is not inspired by the season. So this winter:
READ A DARE 2 DREAM FRIEND'S FAVORITE BOOK
This is how it works:
Although the challenge is open to everyone, the regular d2d reading challenge crew is Christine, Danell, Dustin, Jenn, Josh & Myself. So go to one of those pages-look for the shelf marked favorites and read a book from that shelf.
Please note Dustin has an amazing shelf rather than a favorite shelf but it's the same thing so it's all good :)
Also, Danell's favorites are not on her bookshelf page but can be found on her bio page so again all good :)
Hope this doesn't sound too confusing!
HAVE A HAPPY WINTER, EVERYONE! :D
