I have never read a book about this (does fanfiction count? Because then I have read some Almost Human fanfics with Dorian and John), but it sounds interesting.

Not strictly romance... but there is some romance in it- fair warning it's a weird book, but an incredibly GOOD book. Scott Westerfeld for adults.
