Love Is a Many-Colored Thing - A Colorful Launch Party
Thank you for setting up this topic, dear Calathea! I've already sharpened my colored pencils and tried them on Lone Star picture. (The reindeer says "hi", by the way!)

If you wish to try this one yourself Josh offers it free for download on her
December 2nd Advent Calendar blog post.
Take it away, friends!
And see you here on Friday! Like Calathea promised, there will be colorful prizes!!!

We can't have a coloring party without crayons! I'm glad you'll bring yours! :-)

And yeeey giveaway :0)!!
I've got this on my Christmas gift cart for myself, which I will be ordering tomorrow! I decided that this beautiful coloring book and the Nutcracker music cd was a great idea for myself this year. :-)
I bought some really nice Prismacolor colored pencils awhile back, so I'll be using those. But I do have to say that Johanna's blending and shading looks so pretty compared to anything I could do!

Hey, every style is equally right in coloring. And the best thing is that you don't even have to stay between the lines! :-)

Exactly my thoughts... :-) I cannot decide what's more beautiful, the rainbow stars or the new banner with the cool blue-green shells! It's very inspiring.

Johanna, I love the Lone Star picture and l look forward to seeing the rest of your pictures.

Then let's start the most colorful launch parties this group has ever seen! :-D

So, to get you in the mood of partying, here's a little task for you:
Go to this online-coloring page and color the mandala in the shades that represent the mood you want this party to be. When you're finished click on "Done" and copy and past the code from the bottom of the page to a comment here in this topic.
Alternatively or additionally answer Johanna's (who has drawn all the lovely drawings in the book) question: "You're buying a sweater as a Christmas present for one of Josh's characters. Who are you buying it for, what color would the sweater be and does it have any patterns or design?"
There are prizes to be won. We're going to draw the winners randomly on Sunday (European) evening, so you've got roughly two days of time. What you can win, you ask?
1 set of coloring pencils
1 copy Love is a Many-Colored Thing
1 set of both, coloring pencils and Love is a Many-Colored Thing
Now, no more hesitating, color away! :D

I'll have to try again later, but in the meantime, I would like to present a lovely sweater to Kit in royal blue with poinsettias, holly and ivy on the border and a single cat on the front with a big red ribbon around its neck and a bell sewn on so it jingles when he moves. I'm sure he will love it.

I love it. I'm totally into shades of blue. :)

Oh. My. God. I can totally see this sweater! And wouldn't it be handy to hear where Kit is all the time. A must feature, that little bell!!! :-D

Last one (I'd like to think this is an improved version :P):

I dislike coloring as a kid because I could never get it right. Lol.

They are all wonderful but I think I like the first one the best...but green is my favorite color so maybe I'm biased. :-)

Well, it's difficult to imagine that there has been a time when you've disliked coloring! :-D
But really, I'm amazed how different the same mandala looks with different coloring. Fascinating!

A bit wintery but with the strong pulse and the dark red of glowing embers in it's heart, yes? We just need to fan it a bit in it will light up the colorful party with a bright light. As will you. :)

@Goge, yes, it is! <3 Loving this.
Okay, last. Seriously. I'm going to sleep after this. :P
The first one is for Haldis, who loves green.

and the second one for those who love blues:

edited to add yellow. Officially addicted.

Mine has blue for the pool and green for the garden, and flames and little black hearts for our wicked ways with a spot of pink glitter in them. :D

These are all wonderful, Josephine. If I'd have to pick my favorite out of these three I sincerely wouldn't know which one to pick. They are equally mesmerizing!
And yes, I think it's safe to say that you're very close to having an addiction, my dear.... :-D

a week ago Love is a Many-Colored Thing was published, the coloring book with awesome illustrations by our very own Johanna, inspired by Josh's stories. The drawings are accompanied by text passages from the books they belong to.
We'll have a small launch party for this here on Friday. So sharpen your color pencils and bring them with you when we have a very colorful party! And maybe, just maybe you can win something colorful too. :-)
