Bottom line: I know Nadine who liked them. Should I ask her to unlike so they can be removed?
Authors are allowed to add quotes from their own works. There is rarely backlash unless an author adds dozens -- or hundreds -- of their own quotes.
Why would you want to discourage a fan from liking your quotes, regardless of whether you know them?

Perhaps those who were remarking that they thought it "tacky" were in the minority. I'm just trying to do things as they're intended on GR, having only just stepped out with my first book. I certainly don't want to irk readers by simply misunderstanding how things work. Hope that makes sense. :)

I understand. But there is certainly no general consensus that authors adding a handful of quotes is tacky. (There are authors who have added literally 100s, and I wonder if the comment you saw referred to that.)

I think the record for a single author is something over 9000 quotations.

Please delete this quote, I found a mistake and like to re-post it. Thank you
Can someone delete all my quotes on my book (I know if it's liked you can't I think). I'm so new to all this, & I thought GR was wanting me to put something there when it was on my dashboard. Now I see that that's actually not for me. Please delete them. Sorry.
