Not knowing anything about the book the first thing that comes to mind is Nosferatu as in vampires.

Lauren Smith Yep, Nosferatu. The title is also spelled NOS4R2 in some editions.

It's Joe HIll's third novel Barbara - you may want to check it out :)

Oh Joe Hill! I need to check that out. See what he does with vampires.

Chrizette | 906 comments Thank you! I have not read Joe Hill yet - is he a favourite, Barbara?

I have read two of his novels. I think Nos4A2 is his third. He also published some short stories and other things. I rated both the books 4 stars and I would recommend him if you like weird scary books. I think his career is going to be as long and good if not better than his father.

Chrizette | 906 comments I have been afraid to give his books a try because of his father but this one is calling to me. I love scary :)

Why, don't you like Stephen King? His books are different even though King also writes weird scary. You should forget about the father and give the son a chance.

Chrizette | 906 comments I love Stephen King but I sometimes think that "children of famous people" get published more easily than they deserve. But if you found the books good, I am willing to give it a try.

I think I was intrigued by his books before I learned who his dad was. And I didn't give it any consideration whatsoever when I rated the books. Give them a chance.

Lauren Smith I think he stands firmly on his own two feet. I'm sure it helped having Stephen King for a father, but he's a good author in his own right. I've only read one of his books, but I never felt like it didn't deserve to be published.

Don't forget his mother. I haver never read her books but she too is an accomplished author.
I agree being the son of will have helped, but he would have found a publisher without being related to anyone famous.
And the fact that he uses part of his middle name as his last hame in his pen name implies he wants to stand on his own two feet. Which he does very nicely.

Lauren Smith Stephen King's mother or Joe Hill's mother? The name Tabitha King comes to mind. Didn't know there was another author in the family though!

Yeah Joe Hill's mum. Tabitha King is married to Stephen King and is the mother of Joe Hill. Have you read any of her books? I never have. I should check what her books are about and read one.

Lauren Smith No, I haven't, I must've just heard the name a few times so that it lodged in my memory.
