Félix (habitseven) Uh ... well ... maybe not right now, thanks. I think I hear my mother calling me. *runs away fast*

Morgan (neimanmarxist) | 32 comments I'm not reading (much) while I'm at work, at the beach, walking, playing World of Warcraft or watching hours of mind-numbing reality TV. I also have a hard time focusing on reading if I've had a few glasses of wine, but I always try!

Welcome to TC Morgan - as long as you're enjoying yourself when you're not reading then that's OK ;-).

Thanks Jim! I agree! :)

That sounds like an enjoyable time Michelle.

Larry, Petra, I was just perusing the members page (new title for me! Lg has 6k more comments until the beloved crone returns!) And I se that neither of you have listed a "currently reading"status like the majority of our top posters. Why is that ?

Ever read Penthouse Letters while going solo?

message 61: by Charlotte (new)

Charlotte Creech | 100 comments I'm enjoying the revivals of threads that existed before I was a member. I can't drink wine and read at the same time. The wine interferes and I can't remember what I read the next day. Perhaps this is where moderation should enter my life.

I can rarely remember what I read the day before whether I was drinking or not.

message 63: by Jim (new)

Jim | 6484 comments I'm not sure you always remember who you are from day to day.

**pokes Kyle with a sharp stick while he pretends to stifle**

*Runs away to read, to avoid sharp sticks*

message 66: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) Someone's going to get an eye put out if they're not careful.

Carol (caroll) | 15 comments How did this question develope into a discussion on pot/hash???

message 68: by Jim (new)

Jim | 6484 comments Stick around here long enough, and this discussion could evolve into almost anything. We're quirky like that.

message 69: by Phil (last edited Jul 31, 2012 11:55AM) (new)

Phil | 11837 comments I had a friend who read everywhere. He loved science fiction so much that he couldn't put a book down, even when taking a shower!

One day he complained that he had a cut on his butt. Apparently he had been shaving in the shower, but reading at the same time (?). When he moved the razor behind him to shake & rinse it, he grazed his ass with it and drew blood.

Though I lost touch with him over the years I'm certain he's still out there, somewhere, reading sci-fi novels.

Just spend the money and have it waxed.

evie (ecie) | 4437 comments It's only pain and embarrassment.

message 74: by evie (new)

evie (ecie) | 4437 comments He could read while he's being being waxed.

message 75: by [deleted user] (new)

Better still, if he doesn't want hair on his butt. Go for laser hair removal. It's permanent there for more time for reading.

message 76: by Abigail (new)

Abigail | 2 comments I'm another one of those people who always has a book with me, even if I'm going to a concert, a play, a party, whatever, I'm always prepared haha.

Sometimes, though, I'll have streaks where for whatever reason the book(s) I'm reading don't appeal, or they're slow going, and I get temporarily unused to my usual reading habits. It's sad when it happens but it does.
