Anyone else notice the posting (on the right side of the page) that announced "Now you can add your Amazon books to GoodReads"?

Kalen | 218 comments When I was going through and changing passwords last week because of Heartbleed, I noticed that my Amazon and Goodreads accounts were magically and mysteriously linked. On Twitter, Goodreads asked me if I'd accessed Goodreads via my Kindle, which I did once just to see what happened. I realized I didn't want the two linked and hadn't done it again. But that one action made my Amazon account info link to Goodreads--which is potentially very dangerous if you have credit card info stored on Amazon. (I don't now.) You might want to check your settings here if you don't want these two accounts linked.

Becky (beckymurr) | 557 comments I don't see any linking option in my profile….so when I get my new Kindle tomorrow, I should do what so they don't link it to GoodReads?

message 5: by Becky (new)

Becky (beckymurr) | 557 comments I just went to my settings on amazon & the only 2 linked options are for Facebook & Twitter & I am not linked to either via Amazon

Kalen | 218 comments Don't access Goodreads from your new Kindle if you don't want them linked. It would be nice if they'd tell you the implications of using Goodreads on your Kindle but I guess that's probably why they don't. :)

Becky (beckymurr) | 557 comments ok-I guess I won't do that, but I don't even use the same email for Amazon & GR, how would they link?

message 8: by Kalen (new)

Kalen | 218 comments I don't either--I'm guessing I had to sign in to GR account from my Kindle. It's been a while since I did it so I don't remember the process.
