I have seen this movie about a billion times(okay...not a billion....I kind of exaggerate 5,000 time a day!) and finally found out it was a book! So, I am still reading it, but only have 25% to go and it's amazing how similar the movie is to the book! There have been a few changes to make everything a little easier to understand, but it is amazing for sure!! It is also the first Michael Crichton book I have read, and I like his style a lot! So, guess I need to get JP and TLW next for sure!! :D

The ending of the book is a lot different than the movie....way more creepy and sketchy!!! My friend who told me about the book still needs to finish watching the movie. But, I am excited to see his reaction and compare the two once we finally watch it!!!!

That should be fun!! I have actually never heard of this book or movie before! Though I generally don't read/watch sci-fi, so that is probably why

I love this kind of movie, so I was excited to read the book and see what else there was to know about the whole world they were in. But, the book and movie are really similar. Changes made were mostly things to keep the movie short, and everything had the same overall outcome. Although the movie seemed to have a little more darkness to it, but the ending of the book was more shocking for sure!

Hooray for keeping close to the book for once!! ;) It is interesting that they were so similar, yet you were surprised at the ending!

It was really just one sentence that causes such a reaction out of readers! My friend agreed with me about it when we were talking about it last night, but sadly we can't compare it to the movie ending just yet. It was a fast read, and has a lot of under water facts and science mixed in, so I extra loved it! haha

haha cool! I might have to check it out! Isn't it funny how one sentence can draw you in or shock you? I'm in another group where they have this thread that you post the first sentence of the book you are currently reading. It is just one sentence, but it is fun to read all of them!!
