I hated this piece of shit. This is nothing likie the book and Maxon is a total fucking playboy! And who the hell is Rafe? The fuck! Read three acts. What is wrong with the people who wrote it?
1. Maxon is a cool sweet person. There may be only 2% boys in the whole world who treat women like him. Every girl would love a man like him but you have to turn him into girl-not-human-only-body kind of guy. Cant people digest a little formality and sophistication these days?

2. yes the King was a bad guy, things were tough for lower class but this is just insane. What kind of picture they have presented of Illea.

3. America and aspen???? no comments. Ruined them wholly.

While it was entertaining , And I did like America, That is NOT Maxon. Thats some weird Gossip girl/Damon concoction.
And they've added a Stefan to the mix. Aka Rafe -_-
They definitely need to stick to the books for Maxons character, Theres a transformation to be seen.I definitely think they need to bring the Sex-whore down a notch -_-
Though I'm not completely averse to the A-hole Max, Because then later we see a deeper and more tragic side to him, which adds for complexity of character, So I suppose they could showcase a more reserved,sincerely charming, sensitive,kind and regal side to him, later on in the show, which America helps reveal... So I see plot and ambition. I Just hope its better executed. Because the Maxon they've created is joke. I bet whoever wrote the script is Team Aspen. Or Team Maxons-better-half- RAFE. URGH.
But besides that.... I'd definitely watch it!!! The show that is. Not this particular version though.

Speaking generally I don't think the book would've translated well on screen. The story line is just too uncompelling to be a tv show, as a book it's fine since we get to see into the characters thoughts etc. I don't think they'd be able to hook an audience with a 20 minute pilot :/

Yeah, I think they were having a laugh the writers did they even research the book in depth? I know poetic licence and such. But come on! I think it would be better if all three books were in one film then call it the selection.

I read the first one and even though it has a LOT of flaws it was a billion times better than the one where Maxon gets his freak on and Aspen has to pigtails and a lollypop

I'll be honest! I haven't read the original but in both versions Max was a perve, Aspen is just an ASShat in my opinion.

But as a booktuber said I think, this was Americas selection not Maxon's. I loved independent America in the selection then lost most of her credibility in the elite and was barely herself in The one. Oh and don't get me started on ASpen. LOL

I mean ehhhh I think Aspen is a little annoying. Some of his characteristics were realistic but I think the other ones were so over done. I felt like his need to be the breadwinner and support America and be this knight in shinning armor was a flaw in his personality And completely over done. I have to say though he matured a lot in the last book and I was really happy with his character change. However I just thought Maxon was a little more normal, even for being a prince. I guess it's all a matter of perspective right?

well......hmmmm.....I don't know honestly. yes in a way I felt it did go a bit fast but then again I just wanted so much more than I got. then again there wasn't much left to say. the story ended and the storyline was complete

Why are they not making a movie out of this? In this script Maxon is completely out of character. I can understand making maxon darker. But this SHITE was actually written? and did you see the youtube clip with micheal markely? as maxon?

I can also understand making him darker. He's Mr. Nice guy, and it would be interesting if he were more cold towards people. But whats in that script is the other extreme. I felt like I might be reading something from Clarkson's POV.
